Safety guidelines during rains

ELECTRICAL
• All Electrical Panels and DBs, Rectifiers should be under shed.
• All cables must run above ground if possible avoid joints.
• Always use Industrial Plug tops and good insulated cables.
• Always ensure double earthing for all electrical equipment. Armored cables with
proper glanding at both ends.
• Always take all power supply through ELCB / RCCB 30 mA only.
• Electrical jobs must be done by Licensed Electricians only. Connection from bottoms
of DBs.
• Never work on Electrical jobs with wet Clothes and PPEs. Use only insulated and dry
tools.
• Electricians must use 11KV tested Electrical Safety Shoes.
.WORKING PROCEDURES
• No work must be carried out during rain and heavy wind at open height.
• Use of full body harness with rigid anchoring arrangement is must.
• Always ensure that the plank is secured and dry.
• No heavy lifting and shifting activity should be done during rain & heavy wind.
• All welding and electrical work must be carried out only on dry surface under the shed.
• All excavated areas must be properly barricaded with hard railings.
• All excavation must be done either slope cutting or benching.
• Execute only after complete de-watering is done.
• No materials should be stacked close to the excavated pits.
• Safe access & egress must be provided to all excavation and height works.
• Never leave loose lubricants (Oils, Grease, Chemicals) on the ground.
