Requirements:
3 balls x 100g Kartopu Love Cotton Prints
4.5mm (size 8) crochet hook
Tapestry needle

Measurement: Lower edge length approx. 100” (255cm); depth 12” (30cm).

Tension: tension is not crucial – as long as you are happy with the look of your stitches, you can use
whatever size hook you like!
Abbreviations
ch: chain
dc: double crochet
fdc: foundation double crochet
hdc: half double crochet
sc: single crochet
sk: skip
sl st: slip stitch
sp/s: space/s
st/s: stitch/es
yoh: yarn over hook

Special Stitches
bpdc: back post double crochet: yoh, pass hook around the body of the dc of the previous row, from
the side of the work facing away from you (back), draw a loop through, (yoh, draw through 2 loops)
twice.
fpdc: front post double crochet: yoh, pass hook around the body of the dc of the previous row, from
the side of the work facing towards you (front), draw a loop through, (yoh, draw through 2 loops)
twice.

Pattern
Ch 149.
Row 1: (wrong side) Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next st, *[ch1, sk 1 st, dc in next st] twice, dc in each
of next 2 sts, rep from * to end … 99dc and 48 x ch1 sps.

Row 2: (right side) Ch3, fpdc around next st, *dc2 in next st, dc in [next ch1 sp and next st] twice, fpdc
around next st, rep from * to last st, dc in last st … 171 sts.

Row 3: Ch 3, bpdc around next st, *dc in next st, ch1, sk 1 st, dc in each of next 2 sts, ch1, sk 1 st, dc in
next st, bpdc around next st, rep from * to last st, dc in last st … 123 sts and 48 x ch1 sps.

Row 4: Ch 3, fpdc around next st, *dc2 in next st, dc in each st and sp to bpdc of previous row, fpdc
around bpdc of previous row, rep from * to last st, dc in last st … 195 sts.

Row 5: Ch3, bpdc around next st, *dc in next st, ch1, sk 1 st, dc in each st to 2 sts before fpdc of
previous row, ch1, sk 1 st, dc in next st, bpdc around fpdc of previous row, rep from * to last st, dc in
last st … 147 sts and 48 x ch1 sps.

Rows 4 and 5 form pattern.


Continue in pattern for as
long as desired or until
yarn runs out – it doesn’t
really matter which row you
finish on – whatever you
prefer.

Finishing: Weave in ends


with tapestry needle. Block
if desired.
