popular culture- activities of the citizens generate the culture
corporate culture-culture at work can be shown in variety of ways including how people dress, how the offices are
designed, how the employees are treated and the way the company interjects its culture into its product services
foreign culture- example of culture that might visit a new country and marvel at the way in which people in that country
talk, think and act.
social collectiveness- the togetherness among people from the same culture
beliefs- things that most people in a society consider to be true
symbol- anything use to represent, express and stand for an event and situation
folkways- behavior pattern which a person uses generally in his daily life
mores- Latin word which means customs of belief accordance with the group customary expectation
norms- Rules and expectation that specify how people should and should not behave in social situations
values- general standard which decide what is good and what is bad
language- the key way to communicate the goals, thoughts and experiences of popular culture

diversity- Refer specifically to cultural differences and also applies to all the qualities that make people different
cultural change- alteration of mechanism within the social structure, characterized by changes in cultural symbols,
rules of behavior, social organization or value system
political change- rules in country lose power or the type of governance in the country change
cultural relativism- principle that an individual person’s beliefs and activities should be understood by others in terms
of that individuals own culture
ethnocentrism- the uses of own culture as the center and evaluate other cultures based on it
culture shock- Disorientation you feel when someone tell you that you are not using norms
