Observations

i. Four (4) deck level of living quarters (Helideck inclusive) on steel frames (on grillages) at each column leg.
ii. Two (2) access gangways available – One at the north side of the quarters and the other one on the east).
iii. Nine (9) fire hydrants were visible on the quarters (four each at the two lower deck levels and one on the third
deck)
iv. Visibly tagged tie points were observed at the underside of the quarters for the following services:
 Portable Water
 Black Water
 Grey Water
 Sprinkler Water
v. There were also five deck openings/ducts for electrical and instrumentation wirings at the underside of the
lowest deck (See attached images)

Challenges

i. There were no CNL Project Team Reps/Engineers available to provide full details of Project Scope. The
Material Supervisor on Site had no prior knowledge there was such a project being planned.
ii. We were only able to see the facility from outside. No entry into the LQ.

Recommendations

i. 3D Laser Scanning of the structure should be done in order to be able to determine the exact locations of the
tie points for the sake of first time fit.
ii. Further details of project scope is required and consequently a much more elaborate site visit with all discipline
leads for the FEED and DED Engineering that might be involved.
