Fishing in Skåne
There are few regions that can offer as
broad a variation of sport fishing as Skåne.
Sea and coastal fishing are free, and a
license for more than thirty rivers and
around forty lakes is inexpensive. Some
fifteen boats make daily fishing tours
along the coast facing Denmark, taking
hopeful fishermen out into an Öresund
Sound teeming with fish. On the eastern
side of the region, Hanöbukten Bay offers
world-class trolling for sea trout and

Fishing from the Skåne countryside
Why not combine a fishing holiday – with family,
friends or colleagues – with a stay on a farm? As of
the 2007 season, Skåne has ten new agricultural
companies that offer farm accommodation combi-
ned with quality fishing in both ponds and natural
waters. Most of these also carry fishing equipment
for hire, and many arrange other nature-based acti-
vities as well, including hiking the Skåneleden Trail,
riding trips and autumn hunting.
1) Agda Lund Bed & Breakfast
Guided sea angling trips for sea trout in Österlen.
One of Skåne’s best stretches of coastal water for
sea trout is within walking distance of Kivik. At Agda
Lund, sea anglers can book accommodation with
breakfast, packed lunch and a fishing guide who, de-
pending on the water temperature and the direction
of the wind, will take you to the coast’s top fishing
spots. There are also drying facilities for waders and
the opportunity to freeze your catch.

2) Almarkaröd Ekoturism
Here you can catch fish and crayfish in East Lake
Svansjön and West Lake Svansjön. The River Hörbyån
runs between the lakes, and you can fish for statio-
nary brown trout, rainbow trout and crayfish. Boats
and simple fishing equipment can be hired. Those
with hunting licenses can even hunt small game and
ducks in season on the nearly 100 acres belonging to

3) Furustadgården
The farm lies by the north-eastern part of Lake
Ivösjön, a classic Skåne fishing spot. At its deepest,
the lake goes 50 metres down and some is still
uncharted. The usual catch is large pike, zander and
perch, but there are also salmon trout, Canada trout,
Gullspång salmon and rainbow trout. When the la-
kes freeze, superb ice fishing takes over. Motor boats
and equipment can be hired at Furustadgården, and
a professional guide with a boat and trolling equip-
ment is also available. Comfortable accommodation
sleeps up to seven in a three-room, self-catering
guesthouse near the main house.

4) Gustafsborgs Säteri Sjödistrikt
The unique pike waters of Gustafsborg lie just south
of the road between Klippan and Hässleholm. The
area comprises nine lakes and ponds, originally
dug to rear carp. The lake system covers some four
km2, and the nature reserve more than thirty km2.
The guests have exclusive rights to all nine lakes,
and stay in a well-equipped wilderness cabin on the
estate. Detailed fishing information is provided by
the host, who is available throughout your stay at

5) Immeln
Lake Immeln is a deep, nutrient-poor lake with many
sunken rocks, islands, islets and skerries, making
it an exciting, challenging fishing lake with plenty
of opportunities. Spin-fishing in the lake can yield
large perch and pike, while bait-fishing can bring you
bream, tench and whitefish. You can hire boats, ca-
noes and kayaks, as well as a fishing guide. B&B and
youth hostel accommodation is available in Immeln.

6) Kastanjegården: fishing and crayfish parties
Kastanjegården is near Svalöv, between Eslöv and
Landskrona. Come with friends during August and
September for traditional crayfish fishing, and enjoy
a crayfish party afterwards. This is a beautiful rural
setting in the midst of the undulating Skåne lands-
cape, with waving bulrushes and grazing sheep along
the coast. Fishing is carried out from land or boats in
six sparkling reservoirs which are part of the Braån
river system. Fishing is followed by an authentic
Skåne crayfish party in the summerhouse or on the
veranda which seats 70.

7) Kulladals Fiskecamp
You will find Kulladals Fiskecamp between the three
large lakes of Skåne: Immeln, Oppmannasjön and
Ivösjön. Guests have three ponds in which to catch
rainbow trout, brown trout or crayfish. The northern
bay of Lake Oppmannasjön is within walking dis-
tance, and offers large numbers of zander, pike and
perch. The ponds have a combined surface of around
2.5 acres, and empty into Lake Oppmannasjön. You
can either stay in an overnight cabin or in wind-
breaks with space for 20. Those looking for a little
more comfort can stay at Breanäs conference centre,

8) Skoogsgårdens Fiskecamp
Skoogsgårdens Fiskecamp is a game fishing and
conference facility, situated in beautiful countryside
at Gråshult, around seven kilometres north of Osby.
Guests can fish for top-quality rainbow trout with
intact fins, weighing 1.5 kg or more. Fishing is in the
ponds at Stora Skoogsdammen, which cover about
2 hectares and have an excellent through-flow and
clear water. Open areas around the ponds make life
easier for fly-fishing enthusiasts. Accommodation is
available either in cottages or in the well-equipped
annexe at the farm, with access to a mini spa and
indoor swimming pool.

9) Ullstorps Stuguthyrning
Ullstorp lies 5 km north of Höör in a ravine, with ca-
bins climbing the slope and a fantastic view over the
lovely valley. Next to the complex lie ponds stocked
with rainbow trout. During August and September,
you can even try fishing for crayfish. The nearby
lakes of Dagstorpssjön and Vaxsjön offer fishing for
pike, perch and zander. Boats are available for hire on
Lake Vaxsjön. Those who don’t want to fish can also
try horse riding or horse and carriage riding. Ullstorp
is a working farm, with animals for all ages. The sur-
rounding forests are full of berries and mushrooms in
the autumn, and Skåne Zoo Park (Skånes Djurpark)
is within walking distance.

Fishing camps in Skåne
In addition to a warm welcome, fishing camps offer ac-
commodation, food, fishing licences and sport fishing
information. All kinds of fish are represented here: eve-
rything from fly and spin fishing for salmon trout and
large pike in running water, to high quality put-and-
take fishing for rainbow trout, char and salmon trout.
10) Beckamöllans Sportfiske
Located in Sireköpinge along a 1 km stretch of the
upper Råå River, this excellent facility offers fishing
such as float-ring fishing for rainbow trout with an
average weight of three kilograms. In addition to the
three ponds, the camp has its own fishing rights on
the Råå River for sea and salmon trout, mainly for
fly-fishing. Accommodation is in a large cabin with
access to a sauna and barbecue. Catering can be ar-
ranged, and all other equipment can be hired.

11) Bondemölla Sportfiske
Situated in beautiful countryside, Bondemölla Sport-
fiske offers first-class fly fishing in two ponds stocked
with rainbow trout and salmon trout. There is a
cabin for overnight accommodation, a well-stocked
fly-fishing shop and a small eatery with all facilities.
The current owners of the camp, Jennifer and Rickard
Ljungberg, rear all the fish in their own ponds. The
high quality fish and service make the camp extre-
mely popular among fly fishermen, so book early!

12) Camp Mayfly – Häckeberga Sportfiske
Lake Häckebergasjön, 20 km east of Lund, has
excellent pike fishing thanks to the catch and release
system. This means that all fish exceeding 65 cm
are returned to the lake. Fishing for pike is at its best
between September and May. The lake also offers
excellent sport fishing with bream, eels and perch.
Camp manager Tommy Svensson offers different
fishing packages that include equipment, boats, food
and sleeping arrangements ranging from manor to
cabin. At Häckeberga Sportfiske, you can even try to
hook a rainbow trout in our own well-tended ponds.

13) Helgeå Camping
The River Helgeå, one of Sweden’s most varied
fishing waters, is some 35 km long and runs from
Lake Araslövsjö in the northeast to the Baltic, south
of Åhus. You can troll for pike here. There is also eel,
salmon and salmon trout. A few nautical miles out
to sea you can fish for cod all year round. Helgeå
Camping is on the river, just a few kilometres from
the river mouth. You can bring a tent or stay in a
cabin, and hire boats fitted with echo sounders. The
complex is unique in offering ocean, coastal, lake
and river fishing from a single site.

14) Landskapet JO
Enjoy eco-certificated sport fishing and nature tours
in rubber dinghies in the biosphere area of Kristian-
stads Vattenrike. The lower reaches of the River Hel-
geå, with its vast stocks of fish, consist of lakes, wet-
land areas and tributaries flowing into the sea. This is
a site with large areas of wetland, where plants, herbs
and insects have created a paradise for small animals
and birds. Guided tours, available to all, are held
throughout the year, with the emphasis on different

15) Lödde Båt- och Kanotcenter
The River Lödde empties into the Öresund Sound
south of Landskrona, and is one of the best pike-
fishing waters in Europe. Record pikes of over 20
kilograms have been hooked here. Christer Olsson
offers package trips that include accommodation,
boats and licenses, as well as fishing guides who
speak English and German. He also works with the
Vandia and Ellionor fishing boats from Helsingborg.

16) Sjöledens Fiskecamp
The camp lies along a 1.5 km stretch of the River
Rönne, a few kilometres from Ljungbyhed. The
fishing is primarily put-and-take for high-quality
rainbow trout, reared on site. Your hostess, Lisbeth,
offers a high level of personal service, including
accommodation in cottages overlooking the water.
In addition to the put-and-take fishing at the camp,
there is also fishing on a private stretch of the River
Rönne for pike, perch, burbot and stationary salmon

Hunting in Skåne
In Skåne, you can try deer stalking and
pheasant and duck shooting. In addition,
beating for boar has become increasingly
popular. Hunting for boar, duck and
pheasant is usually organised as single-
day events, and normally includes lunch
in a hunting cabin and dinner in the

17) Fredskogs Hundcenter
Fredskogs Hundcenter is around 10 km north of
Hässleholm, and has a training and aptitude testing
centre for hunting dogs, specialising in boar hunting.
Here, game battue hunting for hares, roe deer and
pheasants is arranged, as well as carrion hunting for
wild boars. Fredskog also has a pond for retrieval

18) Hunting and game at Trolle Ljungby Gods
The 12,000 well-tended hectares at Trolle Ljungby
have long played host to hunting and wildlife ma-
nagement activities. Here, there is a wide variety of
game, a substantial deer population and large game
such as elk and boars. The manor has two large
fenced preserves, where visiting hunters can enjoy
trophy hunting for red deer and fallow deer. There is

19) Hunting at Araslövs Säteri
At Araslövs Säteri, approximately 10 km north of
Kristianstad, you can hunt for geese and ducks on
the manor’s grounds during October, November
and December. Hunting is carried out either on Lake
Araslöv by boat – a truly unique experience – or
in the surrounding fields. Erik Bertheau, who grew

20) Hunting at Häckeberga Gods
Häckeberga Gods is situated around 30 km east of
Malmö and Lund. Here, stalk and trophy hunting are
organised for hoofed game, along with migratory
hunting for ducks. As well as hunting, guided game
safaris on Icelandic horses, by foot or by car are
also available. For accommodation, we recommend
Häckeberga Castle (Häckeberga Slott), which also
has conference facilities and a gourmet restaurant.

21) Hunting at Ruuthsbo Gods
The terrain at Ruuthsbo Gods is very similar to that
of Denmark or England, with rolling fields and long
hedges. We primarily offer pheasant, partridge and
pigeon shoots, as well as small-game hunting for hare
and rabbit. Roe deer shooting may also be available.

24) Vegeholm
Dan-Jakt, which is based at Vegeholm Manor in
northwest Skåne, arranges hunting on six different
estates in Skåne. One-day duck, pheasant, roe
