Individual practice with peer evaluation

The objective of the exercise is to develop an implementation strategy to transition from

orientation of achieving agreements to testing agreement to find the best outcome. This
strategy will be directed to the acquisition department, which are known to their high
resistance due to their 15 years of experience in the company. Based on their profile, I will not
try to change their ways of doing things, but to help them improve them, especially if this
model is proven to be working. I will try to work with them with their strategy and try to
improve their results. I truly believe that achieving result is necessary for every organization.
However, they might be missing on other alternatives that achieve better result that they might
not be contemplating. I will suggest developing an implementation plan to analyze different
outcomes that generate results. From these outcomes, carefully analyze which situation
generate the highest value for the company and have the biggest durability. However, it is also
important to analyze what are the risks and if it worth taking them with drastically sacrificing
results in the long term.

As I mentioned, I won’t be trying to change their ways of doing thing if they are working, but to
help them improve. I will try to work with them in a preparation plan before starting to work
with the implementation. This will help the acquisitions team to be better prepare once we
start working with better strategies. At the end, this process will help us to find new
alternatives that might produce better results in the long run rather than only looking for the
most convenient solution at the time. With this plan, the team will able to develop a more
careful and methodic analysis that will incorporate all possible outcomes and its risks of
implementation and help us be better prepared for future events.
