body makes changes in the qualification requirement. This is a free country.

seek for an office to serve the country and people?

Estrada. And he did good although in later part of his administration there were some lapses –
which was normal in politics.

In 2022 we can be sure that more movie celebrities would file their COC’s to run for any
position. Let’s watch!

The good man who did not make it the Magic 12 in the Senate in the last midterm election
attracts the heart of the President.
Yes, my friend, JV Ejercito who failed to make it to his re-election bid may one day, very
soon, finds himself in the cabinet of Pres. Duterte. I would like to believe JV deserves to be in
the official family of Duterte to his last three years in power as President.
Oh yes, few days after the election, JV was saying he would run again although it is
financial-draining.

 After some 30 years in government service, former PGMA decides to retire. She’s the
outgoing Speaker of the House, a position hotly contested by several applicants. We’ll see who’ll
win.

Meanwhile in the Senate, Tito Sotto is still sweet to many members and want him stay as
its President. Sen. Manny Pacquiao is now saying the confusion as to who should be next Senate
President has now become normal. But earlier it’s been said Pacquiao was chided by Sen.
Cynthia Villar, because perhaps of the resolution about some senators’ support of Tito Sotto.
Why? Would Pacquiao insist that Villar should also sign to support Sotto? Doesn’t he
know that Villar is also interested to become Senate President?
June 30 is nearing for new assumption of duties of those newly-elected or reelected
candidates. We should know by then the fate of Senate Pres. Tito Sotto.

Some political dynasties are gradually breaking apart. In Mindanao the Cerilles family of
Zamboanga del Sur saw its loss in the recent election. In the North, the Estrada totally down into
Erap losing to Isko Moreno as Manila Mayor. Jinggoy who lost in the Senate together with JV
and other member of the Estrada clan running in that election.

Who among the new line of political families will take over the former breed of the
political dynasties in the country?
At this point in time my friend ,that some political dynasties are slowly losing strength in
the battle for various reasons, there are already new families coming out to form or organize
themselves.
Look at the Cayetanos – from Sen. Pia to Allan Peter, Lino Cayetano and Lani the wife of
Allan Peter.
What about the Sottos? There’s Sen. Pres Tito, and a son Gian in Quezon City, and now
Vico Sotto, son of popular comedian Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes? And who could tell that in
2022 Vic Sotto would want to join the force? This proves that there’s so much attraction in
politics and man’s pride of the power in it.
 But what’s wrong with political dynasties anyway? For me it’s okay as long they all
perform what is asked of them to serve the people. Political dynasties become bad if the people
therein do not serve the public faithfully. If they all want is to enrich themselves or for the rich to
–be richer.
Let us remember that we, the voters are responsible in the proliferation of political
dynasties through our votes. So, if we find them not doing according to their legitimate duties
and functions, let us not vote for them okay?
