A Dark age, iron age fantasy.

- The first gods were born and split themselves into tribes and clans, the gods in
many ways reflect mortal kind. They are aloof from men, after an age in which they
walked the earth a set of laws called the "seals" bound their interaction with the
mortal realm to a set of rules that diminished their influence.

- There is a non-mortal realm again a reflection of the mortal realm but it is the
abode of the gods. The common souls of men go to shadowy nether realm at death that
is neither punishment nor reward. However select chosen can be drawn into the godly
realm to be with their patrons.

- There are non human races but they are much rarer than in other settings. However
monstrous beasts are common enough.

- The world has moved through cycles, The age of Gods, The age of Giants and now
the Age of Men. Each one seen to be in some way diminished from the last

- States are small regional entities for the most part

- While this is the dawning of the age of man in many ways it is a falling from the
previous sophistication and glory of the world. It is early in the time of man and
things are dangerous and mans grip is weak.

- Technology is about what would be avalible to iron age europe with. Societies are
mostly based around stongman type leadership or semi-religious kingship

- The common timeline starts after an Age of migration and unsettling following the
end of the Age of Giants
