Angelfish program focuses on providing children with as many different growth opportunities for the building blocks
listed in the diagram above. With our unstructured outdoor and indoor classroom settings, we are providing children
with an unlimited possibilities of discoveries, exploration, social interaction and just having fun practicing what they
have learnt. They will be provided with opportunities to develop their language and communication skills through
various play-based activities and to understand simple instructions as they begin their social skill development.

We have designed the activities with primary and supportive objectives so as to maximize children's development
opportunities during this critical early childhood years. We can have phonics lesson during Lesson time and have
children to practice phonemes during Music & Movement time or we can introduce new vocabulary during sensory play
time and children get to practice using the new vocabulary during Drama Play time. These activities are designed not
to stress the children but to give them the many different experiences of learning the same subject and allowing
them to discover the best way that they can enjoy learning.

We will begin children’s creativity development journey by intriguing them with art and what they are able to create
using different art mediums and techniques. Art will open the door to their creative expression and provide them
with capabilities to interpret their imagination in their own way. It is imperative that we nurture children’s imagina-
tion with open ended questions during play time or activity time to help them develop the skill to communicate
their creative ideas.

The Angelfish program features less than 5 days a week option for time allowance to adapt to the environment and
school routine before joining the 5-days-a-week program.

Child Care Application
The school is managed using Kinderlime Child Care web-based applica-
tion, in which the parent will have access to the portal from the mobile
devices.

The application provides us an efficient way to communicate with parents,

sharing children’s daily activities and photos, tracking their sign-in and
sign-out time, creating billing plans for automated invoicing and provide
parents with up-to-date financial statement.

Social and Emotional Development (SED)
It is important for children to learn how to manage their anxieties as how they learn to read or write. It is a necessary skill for a child
to understand his/her emotions and be able to communicate what he/she is feeling.
We have seen children requiring adjustment period more than others and some just breezed through the program. These differences
in experience have a lot do on how children can manage anxieties and cope with the school routine and environment.

As an educator and care giver, we understand the importance of our role to support children’s understanding of the situations and the
options available to the children to cope with different situations. Consistency in our actions will help children to fully comprehend the
cause and effect of their actions and will teach them new ways of coping with their anxieties.
Our primary focus for the Angelfish program is to provide skills for children to manage their emotions, maintaining focus, making
friends, understanding and applying correct social behaviours. Our teaching strategy for social and emotional development involve
show and tell them the skill, to be followed with presenting them with many opportunities to practice applying the skill and continuous
encouragement for skill retention. These opportunities for children to apply their behavior skills are designed and incorporated into
other activities so that we can capture children’s most candid moments when presented with specific situation for more accurate reflec-
tion of children’s behavior.
These behavior skills will continuously be observed and guided during the Starfish program. However, one of the major readiness
criteria for children to move up to Starfish program is the ability to maintain focus with task at hand for more than 15 minutes and the
ablity to manage distractions.
