IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. You should bring this call letter along with any identity proof (in original) issued by Government Authority for personal
verification (i.e. Passport / Voter Identity Card / Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ Any Identity Card issued by Competent Authority).
2. You should bring black/blue ball point pen.
3. Use of programmable calculator or any such electronic devices/mobile etc. is strictly prohibited. However, non-programmable
scientific calculator is permitted.
4. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to their
written test/selection/recruitment for the above post shall be considered as disqualification.
5. Any request for change of date of test(s) will not be entertained.
6. The Institute reserves the right of cancelling the candidature of any candidate found indulging in any malpractices i.e. hiding
any material information, misrepresentation of facts etc. and such candidates are liable to be debarred from this tests as well as
future tests, in addition to appropriate legal action as may be decided by the Institute.
7. If an applicant is inadvertently allowed to appear at the Test who otherwise does not fulfill the minimum eligibility
requirements, he/she cannot, at a later date, use that as a right to claim that he/she meets the eligibility requirements.
The Institute reserves the right to exclude such name(s) of the candidate(s) at any stage of selection and even after
getting appointment.
8. The question booklets of the Test will be taken back from the candidates.
9. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing the Written Test.
This call letter is purely provisional and does not confer any automatic right of your possible employment with the organization.
Details of the Written Examination: As per the Attached Annexure
Please note the following
1.Only those candidates who score minimum cut off marks in the Written Test as may be fixed by the IIT Kharagpur at its
discretion, will be eligible to be considered for the Trade Test. However, weightage based score considering Written Test
and Trade Test will be considered for preparation of Merit List for final selection.
2. Results of the written test shall be published on the Institute website (www.iitkgp.ac.in) within 15 days of the Written Test. The
qualified candidates in the Written Test are required to be present for the Trade Test as per the schedule to be declared on
the Institute website. Candidates are advised to visit the institute website for updates/declaration of results. No separate call
letter shall be issued to the qualified candidates for appearing in the Trade Test.
3. IIT Kharagpur would prescribe separate cut off for Unreserved and Reserved Vacancies.
