To Whom It May Concern,
Upon seeking out this casting call for Farragut North, I immediately felt inspired to apply. As a young actor beginning her journey, a casting call for two incredibly driven and smart female characters carries instant appeal, and I would be thrilled to be a part of the project. As a recent graduate from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, I had the pleasure of majoring in theater as an acting and performance studies concentration. During my time as an undergraduate, I was fortunate enough to perform every semester, including my semester abroad in Arezzo, Italy, where I studied physical theater and Commedia dell’arte intensively. I also served as a classical verse teaching assistant during my senior year, as well as a guest pedagogue to Muhlenberg’s acting I and II courses. During my undergraduate career, I was also granted the opportunity to collaborate on the second installment of professor Holly Cate’s Henry IV tetralogy entitled O War at The Lark, in which Ellen McLoughlin read the role of Warwick. Following my May 2019 graduation, I have performed in the Resident Acting Company’s staged reading of A Bold Stroke for a Wife. I intend to continue to pursue acting as a career, and this opportunity was a wonderful impetus as a start. I have felt incredibly fortunate at the opportunities I have had both in undergrad and out, but I am also incredibly driven to continue my path as an, albeit young, but successful actor. Farragut North and 5th Floor Acting Company embody precisely where I am and aspire to be at this stage in my career, and I very much admire and appreciate the initiative and understanding of working with and around survival jobs. I have attached my headshot and resume and am eager to hear from you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
