(Registration No. E/1698/SK), an NGO with its Head Quarter

in Himatnagar and Branches in Prantij and Vadali is an NGO,
engaged in constructive activities for children and women.

The statistics of 2007-08, 09 and 10 show that the types of

steps were taken by NGO in matters such as legal advice reference
to the court and compromises. Redressers in cases of grievances
are sadly few.

The legal service centre records show that a number of

domestic violence cases were filled by the N.G.O.

Observation:

In one of the cases, an interim judgment come under which

Rs. 15,00/- as compensation and provision for a home to the
complainant have been ordered, judgment in five cases have been
with the mediation of legal service centre. 75 cases - all from
Himatnagar from July, 2006 to March 2007 were taken up and
suitable guidance was given.

Cases of domestic violence registered under various subject

offences (between 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11) had been
handled by district Vividh Lakshi Women Welfare Centre . The

Observation:

In some cases the matters are pending before the Court

while in 32 cases compromises have been reached between the
parties. This shows that NGO is the proper instrument for better
implementation of the Domestic Violence Act.
