U.S. Department of Education to host


webinar for displaced ITT students
Wednesday
In response to the outpouring of disgruntled ITT Technical Institute
students who will be adversely a ected by the sudden nation-wide
closure of campuses, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) will be
hosting national webinars starting this week to address questions and
concerns.

The national webinars will begin Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. They


will also be held at 12 noon and at 2 p.m. the same day. If additional
webinars are needed, the ED has said that they will make the dates and
times available online.

According to the Federal Student Aid website, the webinar rooms will
open 30-minutes prior to the start of the presentation. There will be
accommodations for the hearing impaired and instructions on how to
ask questions using the online chat room.

There will also be a mobile device application available for those who

The webinars will be recorded and archived for ITT students to access
at a later time.

The ED has announced that they will be contacting via e-mail currently
and recently enrolled students to inform them of ITT's closure and the
options they have going forward.

Former ITT students should make a point to contact ED in regards to


school loan discharges and the retrieval of student records.
