TSD OPERATION

1) This process will be carried out by Processing operators.

2) Ensure that the vessel is clean.
3) Make sure to wear all safety Equipments such as Gloves, safety boots & gloves.
4) Ensure that the electrical lines are working fine and there is no pending maintenance on the
machine.
5) Do not start the disperser when there is no load.
6) Load the Water and addtives as per batch sheet sequence and start the machine. Once
thickener (such as Tylose) start the disperser blade.
7) Start only the disperser blade and slowly raise to create a uniform vortex. Fix at RPM*****.
8) Then start adding pending addtitives and mix for 1 minute.
9) Place the filter lid and start charging the powder rawmaterial.
10) Ensure the addition in sequence and the powders do not get littered on the floor of the
mezzanine floor.
11) While charging powder start the agitator and dust collection machine.
12) Add the powder towards the center of the disperser and not on the sides. Ensure that the shaft
is free from any sticking powder.
13) Adjust the height of the disperser to get optimum vortex at optimum RPM(****)
14) Run at optimum RPM to ensure proper vortex. Run for 15 minutes and then check the
dispersion. When you take the material from TSD for checking dispersion, keep the disperser
and agitator off.
15) Do not try to remove material using any spatula while the machine running. In the running
condition close all the open area.
16) Once the dispersion is over reduce the speed to mixing speed and start adding remaining
material.
17) Once the final addition is over (leaving the adjustment quantity), run for 5 minutes at lowest
mixing position and up and down motion for another 2 minutes to make it uniform.
18) After QC testing if any additions are there, then it should be minimum mixed for 5 minutes with
up and down motion.
19) During QC test the machine can be switch off.
20) After finishing the batch pump the material to mixer for filling. While pumping stop the agitator
and keep the dispersor at very slow speed.
21) While Running the machine if you hear any abnormal sound, immediately stop the machine and
inform the Maintenance manager
