How to use the video recording software

Underneath the wording of each question, you are given the option to select a method to submit your
video.

Select one of the methods. Instructions below.

1. Record from webcam

2. Upload a file
3. Record from phone

Each of these are covered below.

1. Record from webcam

Click the green “record” button when you are ready to record.

When you finish recording, press red “stop recording” button.

The video you recorded will playback then you will see the screen below.
Choose whichever option, you want.

When you choose Accept, you will see “Video Submitted” and a green box see picture below.

You are ready to move onto the next question

2. Upload from file

Before you click this option, you need to have already recorded the answers to your questions.

You can record the four questions to one file and upload one file only to the first question, or you can
upload an individual file to each question.

File box will open, see image below

Find the location of the files, click open

3. Record from phone

To use this method you need a smartphone with internet access and a video camera. This option will not
work if you do not have BOTH.

As you enter your mobile number, the system we reformat to correct format. After entering number,
click the red button : Send Mobile Link. See picture below.

You will receive a text message to your phone from the number 1 (202) 601-3767

The text will say:

“To record this video using your mobile phone visit (specific link will be given).”

Open the text message, and click on the link in the text. This will activate camertag.

Click the record from phone to start recording. Select “take video”

Record the video. If you are happy with the video select “Use Video” If not happy, select “retake’ to
record video again.
When you select use video, the video will be uploaded to the question you attempted ready for marking
by the assessor. Please be patient it might take time.

When you see Video submitted and the green tick your video has been uploaded.
