Republic of the Philippines DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services ‘Administration (PAGASA) ANNOUNCEMENT OF TRAINING METEOROLOGISTS TRAINING COURSE (MTC) The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is conducting a Meteorologists Training Course (MTC), which will commence on 21 October 2019. The course will run for one (1) year, consisting of eight-hour (whole day) sessions, with theoretical and practical phases covering the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists (BIP-M) prescribed by the World Meteorological Organization. The MTC is open to PAGASA employees, personnel of other National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and other interested applicants who meet the following requirements: ® Holder of a bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields/areas: o Engineering o Mathematics Physics or other physical sciences © Allied sciences © With units in higher mathematics (up to Differential Equations) and at least six (6) units in physics and chemistry; and * Pass the qualifying examination Applicants may accomplish the application form online: bit.ly/FormMTC2019, or in person at the Training and Public Information Section, ROTD, PAGASAWMO Regional Training Centre, 2nd Floor Science Garden BIR Road Brgy.
