Courtney Norton http://taleofatitleoneteacher.blogspot.com One day three bears made porridge for breakfast. It was very hot, so they decided to take a walk while it cooled.
While they were out, a girl
named Goldilocks was walking in the forest and saw their cabin. She went inside and saw the porridge on the table. She tried the biggest bowl but it was too hot.
So she tried the medium sized
bowl, but it was too cold. She tried the itty bitty bowl, and it was just right, so she ate it all up!
Next, she went into the living
room and saw three chairs. She tried the biggest chair, but it was too hard. So she tried the medium sized chair, but it was too soft.
She tried the itty bitty chair,
and it was just right. She rocked in it until she broke it into pieces! She began to get tired, so she walked upstairs to the bedroom. She tried the largest bed, but it was too firm.
She tried the medium sized
bed, but it was too lumpy. So she tried the itty bitty bed and it was so perfect that she fell fast asleep.
Meanwhile, the three bears
returned home. Papa Bear saw his bowl and cried “Someone has been eating my porridge!” Mama Bear saw her bowl and said in her medium sized voice “Someone has been eating my porridge!”
Baby Bear saw his bowl and
said in his itty-bitty voice “Someone has been eating my porridge, and it is all gone!” Next they went into the living room where they saw their chairs. Papa Bear called in his great big voice, “Someone has been sitting in my chair!”
Mama Bear said in her medium
sized voice, “Someone has been sitting in my chair!” Baby Bear saw his chair and called in his itty-bitty voice, “Someone has been sitting in my chair, and they broke it to pieces!”
Then the bears decided to go
upstairs. Papa Bear called in his great big voice “Someone has been sleeping in my bed!” Mama Bear called in her medium sized voice, “Someone has been sleeping in my bed!”
Baby Bear, seeing Goldilocks
asleep in his bed, called “Someone has been sleeping in my bed and there she is!” With that, Goldilocks woke up, saw the three bears and jumped out of the bed.
She ran past them, down the
stairs, and out the front door. The Three Bears never saw Goldilocks again.
