Museum Mobile Experience

National Museum of Fine Arts is a place where we can see a lot of different kinds of arts in the
Philippines. This is where the beautiful and exotic arts of famous artists like Fernando Amorsolo, and our
National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal was placed. Also, we can see there the equipment or tools of the artists
used in their works. And being a millennial mobile phone is very in demand. We cannot go anywhere
without it because we need it to communicate and to take important memories.

So, last Tuesday, we went to National Museum of Fine Arts. This is my second (2nd ) time in this museum
but this time because of this activity I observed how students like me used our mobile phones inside the
museum. While roaming around the museum, I can say that we don’t look at some arts the way it
should be looked at, because after we saw the art we just took a photo of it. Also we, the students, did
some photoshoot inside the museum because of the beautiful arts, good lightning and how beautiful the
structure was. However, there are also some people who didn’t used their mobile phone while roaming
inside, they’re just looked at the art and observe, appreciate and analyse the story of it. I can’t say that I
didn’t appreciate the arts inside, I appreciate it. Even if I use my phone, I looked at the art with so much
amazement and thinking the story behind those arts. Like, how they made it, what’s inspiration, what
are the things that triggered them in doing those arts.

In all the artworks that I saw, my most favourite is the artwork inside the senate hall of Carlos V.
Francisco, it showed the history of Manila. The painting is very informative because while I looked at it I
learned and imagined what happened in the past on how Filipinos fought for our Independence, and
surviving the Spanish and then American Government. I felt the painter’s emotions, passion, hard work
and perseverance while doing it. It needs a lot of research just to make that artwork and he did it. And
the place where the artwork was placed is very historical, it’s the old session hall of the senate of the
Philippines.

It is a very good museum mobile experience and a great opportunity to visit again the museum. Because
not all people can see all those arts. They could see it in pictures that was taken by mobile phones but
it’s very different if they would see it personally. Taken pictures of arts can’t replace the experience of
looking at it personally.
