Desert Sands Apartments owned by Debbie and Mike Lair is one of those small town

apartments you have heard of in your worst nightmares. You have a landlord who does
not worry about tenant rights or landlord responsibilities. They do surprise
inspections (no notice, just show up and demand entrance), talk down to tenants,
and will lie, cheat, and outright steal from you. When they met my children, she
started in on them right away telling them not to play outside because "kids always
make trouble" I was also warned that if my dogs were any trouble she would have the
dog catcher come get them while I was at work. While I lived there, I witnessed her
evict no less than 6 people while refusing to give any of them a reason for asking
tem to leave and each one of them she took to court for "damages" She saw my gf
would visit and stay over night twice a week, for this she demanded my gf be put on
the lease, we complied. As soon as my gf signed the lease, Debbie pulled out a
prefilled 30 day notice snd told my girlfriend, "now you're legally responsible for
for any charges that may incur when you leave in 30 days." We left the apartment
spotless, she still sued us for $3,000 in bogus charges. Do not give Debbie Lair at
Desert Sands your money, she is a crook.
