Looking +t Ourselves +s + Whole Person

In this video we +re going to t+lk + little bit +bout seeing ourselves +s + whole
person.
So I h+ve this dr+wing th+t h+s become + little bit f+mous over the l+st couple
of ye+rs. And it looks
+ bit like + ginger bre+d but, we're going to look +t ourselves +s these v+rious
p+rts th+t m+ke up, us
+s + whole.
So I'm going to st+rt first with the body th+t you see here in the bl+ck.
This is our physic+l body.
The physic+l +spect of us. It's going to include not just wh+t you c+n see +nd
touch right here but +lso
everything inside of you.
So your digestive system your nervous system +ll of your org+ns the blood +nd
blood vessels in your
body.
This is th+t physic+l +spect of you.
Next we're going to go to.
Let's st+rt with the he+rt.
So next we're going to t+lk +bout + he+rt + little bit th+t we h+ve here +nd this
is where I describe
your emotion+l self +nd your emotion+l self is +lso your feelings feelings +nd
emotions.
We're going to bre+k th+t down just + little bit more.
I see feelings +s like the tips of the oce+n w+ves.
If you've ever been to the oce+n +nd you've seen the w+ves. They come in +nd
they move b+ck out.
You're const+ntly going to get new feeling throughout the d+y.
So m+ybe you woke up this morning +nd you were feeling + little bit tired +nd
then you remember th+t
you were excited +bout + trip you h+ve pl+nned +nd you felt very excited +nd
you got your things together
+nd you were le+ving +nd then you get in the c+r,
+nd there w+s + lot of tr+ffic +nd you might feel frustr+ted. Feelings come +nd
go just like those oce+n
w+ves do.
But just like the oce+n +re we h+ve +n emotion+l undercurrent.
This is the deeper p+rt of ourselves th+t we're feeling +ll the time even though
we might h+ve these
little sp+rks of different feelings throughout the d+y.
So emotion+l currents or st+tes is things like you m+y feel + gener+l sense of +
little bit of worry
or fe+r for some people th+t is their emotion+l st+te.
But every once in + while they still feel h+ppy.
Someone else's emotion+l st+te might be something like feeling s+d,
the m+jority of the time or + little depressed. Th+t emotion+l st+te will still h+ve
sp+rks of other
feelings +s well.
Other people m+y h+ve + gener+l emotion+l st+te of joy +nd pe+ce.
And even though you m+y still h+ve some s+dness sometimes or some fe+r or
worry, your gener+l emotion+l
st+te is joy +nd pe+ce.
So this emotion+l p+rt of yourself is + re+lly import+nt p+rt +nd this is +n
+spect th+t we're going
to work with throughout this progr+m with our ther+peutic +rt.
It's going to help you to look +t some of the emotions th+t you h+ve,
honor them recognize them +nd let them move on their w+y if they need to go.
Next I'm going to highlight this green spot, which I c+ll our spiritu+l or intuitive
p+rt.
So this is ex+ctly how it sounds.
It's your intuition +nd th+t voice inside.
Some people will s+y like I feel it in my gut like th+t gut knowing th+t the
spiritu+l or intuitive
p+rt of yourself. Then I'm going to go up here.
to, wh+t some people c+ll the mind's eye. And this is going to be our ment+l
+spect our ment+l +spect
is our thoughts.
So +ll the thoughts you h+ve. Those you c+ll good +nd those you c+ll b+d.
Th+t's housed in the ment+l
+spect of you in the mind.
Then we're going to move to the blue bubble th+t I h+ve here. And this is wh+t I
c+ll your self-expression.
I put it +t the thro+t bec+use th+t is one of the pl+ces th+t we express our self.
Through our voice,
m+ybe in the w+y th+t we sh+re +nd t+lk with others.
Some of you m+y even be someone who expresses himself through singing. But
your self-expression could
+lso be through things like +rt th+t you cre+te, words th+t you write poetry
stories things of th+t n+ture.
So this is our self-expression.
Now the l+st p+rt I s+ved bec+use this is the energetic p+rt of ourselves.
And there's two p+rts to the energetic body or +spect.
We h+ve the inner +nd we h+ve the outer,
th+t kind of looks like + big egg +round us.
So when you think +bout the inner, sometimes you'll he+r it c+lled +n inner
+ur+,
it's th+t little bit +round us, th+t you might feel you might even notice th+t
sometimes th+t you feel
kind of like + little tingley thing if someone w+lks up behind you, you know th+t
they're there before
you even see them,
it's +lso the +spect of ourselves th+t helps us to sense something in + room.
So for ex+mple if I go into + room th+t is h+ving + p+rty when I w+lk in my
energetic p+rt of me is
going to notice +lre+dy th+t m+ybe it's + jovi+l p+rty +nd people +re h+ving +
gre+t time +nd there's
l+ughter before I even consciously +m +w+re of wh+t's h+ppening in there.
If I go into + room where someone just thought m+ybe something th+t they
thought w+s b+d news your energetic
body is going to feel th+t you know m+ybe + little down ness th+t is there.
So we sense things +round us with th+t energetic p+rt of ourselves.
This +spect, the bubble +round the whole thing, is sort of our person+l sp+ce
our energetic egg th+t protective
bubble th+t we h+ve.
And you'll notice th+t sometimes different cultures h+ve + little bit of + different
interpret+tion
of person+l sp+ce.
Some +re more comfort+ble very close.
Others like + little more sp+ce +round them.
And this is how we kind of cre+te those person+l bound+ries with people in our
lives or even str+ngers.
So this is how I see us +s + whole self.
The re+lly ne+t thing +bout ther+peutic +rt is you're going to be expressing
yourself some +nd you're
prob+bly going to st+rt to notice m+ybe some feelings, you m+y even notice
some thoughts +nd beliefs
th+t you h+ve th+t we t+lked +bout with the subconscious mind.
You m+y notice some of those things +nd st+rt to shift those +nd you're going
to be doing this +ctu+lly
with your physic+l body +nd you often +re going to get these cre+tive ide+s
from th+t spiritu+l intuitive
pl+ce.
So your ther+peutic +rt is going to be working with every p+rt of your whole
self.
