Ramses Rodríguez Ferguson Hi Engr. - more closely related to user QoE is the UL SINR (and SNR)
than UL RSSI per se, since whichever values are measured (or deduced) for UL RSSI are not solely
individual RSSI from individual UEs: all UL interference contribution is present too.
Whereas UL SINR (or SNR) - although also subject to measurement or calculation limitations - will
provide a better figure of merit of the Rx quality, in terms of Rx capabilities in the eNB versus Noise
or Interference plus Noise. In comparison , RSSI is a "lumped" measurement.
I.e.: For the same conditions, UEs served and eNBs under observation: there will be a correlation
between lower/higher UL SINR (SNR) and lower/higher UL BitRates (or general performance).
Not necessarily so for lower/higher RSSI and lower/higher BitRates (or worse/better performance).
Actually, trying to follow a correlation for the second scenario could even be misleading.
Hoping to be value adding.

syed haider hi Young .Thanks. Incase more than one RB scheduled by the Enb to the same UE and
assuming UE rf environment is fairly static is there any formula or curve to show the values of
RSSI. Thanks

Giuseppe Petrelli It depends on what uplink channel you refer: Physical Uplink Shared Channel or
LTE Physical Uplink Control Channel
