Long Bio:

Tenor Omar Mulero is a central Florida native, who as a child, discovered his love for
singing and music. While in Florida, he participated in theater productions and started
developing his passion for the performing arts. Alongside his musical endeavors, Omar grew up
on a quaint farm in the country with his two siblings, tending to a variety of animals. When
Omar wasn’t serenading the chickens to the tune of “Giants in the Sky”, you could find him
volunteering at a nursing home for the elderly.

With such a rural upbringing, a career in music seemed an impossible feat in itself. But,
Omar has never shied away from a challenge, and in 2014 he moved to Hartford, Connecticut
to pursue his B.M. in Vocal Performance from The Hartt School. After graduating, Omar moved
to Chicago, IL where he is currently attending Roosevelt University for his Masters in Vocal
Performance. He actively studies with Mark Crayton and has studied with Claude Corbeil,
Joanna Levy, and Tamara Molloy.

Mr. Mulero originally sought out a career in neurosurgery, but he discovered that he
could reach people with music in a way that he didn’t ever think possible. He found that
through expression and passion, you could reach the souls of your audience and make them
feel joy amidst sadness, and excitement amongst indifference. This is part of the driving force of
his performances, and Mr. Mulero goes into every performance with the hope that at least one
person in the audience will find an escape from daily life.

Most recently, Mr.Mulero performed in a world premier by Daron Hagen entitled

“Orson Rehearsed”. This piece was presented by The New Mercury Collective and included the
members of Fifth House ensemble. Omar was also part of the Berkshire Opera Festival’s
inaugural season , which under the direction of Jonathon Loy, presented Madama Butterfly at
the Colonial Theater in Massachusetts.

Omar is always ready for his next big undertaking!

Non-Music Bio:

What?!? This is often the response you hear from Mr.Mulero when you knock at the
door during one of his famous shower “concerts”.

Omar Mulero is a central Florida native who somehow made it this far without being
eaten by one of Florida’s famous pool gators or bath salt zombies. A lover of traveling, baking,
hiking, and Japanese anime, Mr. Mulero has a keen interest in both the eccentric and exotic.
Being a self proclaimed “world-traveler”, Omar hopes to visit every continent on earth before
the impending consequences of climate change.

effects of natural disasters. One such organization was “One Night, One Voice” the goal of
which is to aid the victims of the typhoon in Haiyan. He also recently worked as a music teacher
for an organization called “Hearts to Arts” the goal if which is to encourage healing through the
arts to children who have lost one or more of their parents.

When Omar isn’t participating in humanitarian work, he is either belting his face off at
karaoke, sniffing out a sale, or sampling new cuisine in one of Chicago’s many restaurants.
