till Designation: D savy ~ 4 Standard Practice for Characterizing Fly Ash for Use in Soil Stabilization’ “This sandr i saved ner “he Ried desogaton D optoe ote exe ot 1. Seope® 1.1 This practice covers procedures for characterizing fly ash to be used in soil stabilization. This practice list represen- tative test methods for determining the chemical, physical. and cementitious properties of fly ash. A broad guideline is, ‘provided in X1 that explains the signiticance of these proper- ties in soil stabilization, 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The inch-pound equivalents are shown for informa- tion only. 1.3 This standard does nat purport to address all of the safery concerns, if any, associated with its use, It is the responsibilty of the user of this standard to establish appro- priate safety and health practices and determine the applica- bility of regulatory limitations prior 10 use. 14 This practice offers a set of instructions for performing ‘one or more specific operations.
