GAME 1 – Germany def. France, 84-81

 This game is a Round of 16 matchup in the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket.


 Germany (No. 29 in the world) has never been in the quarterfinals of the European tournament
since 2007, while France (No. 4 in the world) has never been out of the playoff since 1997.
 Germany (3-2) is second in Group B, while France (3-2) is third in Group A after the first round.

GAME 2 – Morocco def. Angola, 60-53

 This game is a preliminary round matchup in the 2017 FIBA AfroBasket.


 The last time Morocco (60th in the world) defeated Angola (23rd in the world) was in 1980 at
home, while Angola has been dominant since then, winning 11 African title and finishing at the
podium in 17 straight editions. After the 1980 edition where Morocco finished at 2nd, the country
has never been able to advance past the semifinal round.
 Morocco defeated Central African Republic, 76-66, in the opening day, while Angola nipped
Uganda, 94-89.

First quarter:
 Abderrahim Najah and Mohamed Choua led Morocco to a dream start against Angola, leading
the latter, 8-1, under the halfway mark of the opening period.

left.
