Admission Policy/Criteria for Undergraduate BS (4-Years)

Programs

 All genders having domicile of Punjab are eligible for admission.

 The maximum age limit for the eligibility is 20 years on the closing date of applications.
However the age may be relaxed upto 2 years by the competent authority. For furthermore
for evening programs age limit will be considered 24 years and 2 year age relaxation may be
granted in special case by the competent authority on the request of student.

 The candidate with at least 45% marks in FA/F.Sc/I.Com/ICS or equivalent examination are
eligible to apply for all programs except BS(SE), Pharm-D, B.Sc electrical engineering
(specialization in telecommunication) & Bs
Engineering/Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication technology, where at least 60% marks
required are required as per the requirement of the respective council.
  Admission will be granted strictly on merit i.e on the basis of the marks obtained in
FA/F.Sc/I.Com/ICS or equivalent examination for fresh students. However, candidates of the
earlier session will be considered by deducting 10 marks for each year for evening
programmes only.

 Admission will be granted provisionally subject to verification of the certificate of the

candidates from the relevant Secondary Board, equivalence certificate is required from IBCC
Islamabad/Lahore (where applicable).
 Clearance of UET, Lahore Entry Test is compulsory for B.Sc Electrical Engineering
(Specialization in Telecommunication) and Bs Software Engineering programs.

 Two seats shall be fixed for the candidates who have passed DAE in respective
discipline/Sepcialization besides the open merit candidates may apply against the reserved
seats i.e 2% seats for the children of the university employees (1% for teaching and 1% for
non teaching).
 Hafiz e Quran will be given 20 marks.
 The fee charged from the candidate under the quota of overseas Pakistani shall be double of
the regular fee.


 Beside the open merit, the candidate may apply against the reserve seats for different

There will be no sport & co-curricular quota for Pharm-d, Bsc Electrical Engineering, BS(SE),
Bs Public Administration, BBA, BBA (Banking & Finance).

For Evening
Beside the open merit, the candidate may apply against the reserved seats i:e 2% seats for
children of university employees (1% for teaching & 1% for non teaching).

Only such candidate will be admitted on sport quota who have played at board level.
Admission on the reserved/quota seats will be completed by specified committee(s) in
accordance with the admission rules for reserved seats.

10 seats in addition to the existing seats in every department in the morning & evening
programs (BS) shall be allowed on payment of Rs.25000/- per semester as bench fee in
addition to the regular fee of the programs except the B.Sc electrical engineering
(Specialization in Telecommunication) & Bs Software Engineering Programs.
Following seats have also been fixed in the following programs as per HEC-FDP (LD)
Scholarship Program for FATA in addition to regular seats. BS=2

Note:

Only Such Candidates will be admitted on the sports quota who have played at Board level.
Admission on the reserved/quota seats will be completed by the specified committee in
accordance with the admission rules for reserved seats.

Merit Calculation for Engineering

F.Sc/DAE 70% and Uet Test 30%
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING FOR ONLINE ADMISSION
Step1. (For all the Applicants)
Please keep your transcripts, CNIC with you before filling the online Admission Form.
Scan your picture, having blue background, for uploading in the online Admission Form.
Size of the picture must be less than 25KB.
Open Admission Form on University website https://admissions.gcuf.edu.pk/
Fill up admission form carefully and proof read it before final submission.
Please note that after pressing the “Finalize” button, the application form cannot be edited
or changed.
Incomplete forms or the forms submitted after due date will not be entertained.
After completing the online form, take print out of both Fee Voucher and Admission Form.
Deposit fee in any branch of United Bank Limited, in all over the Pakistan. The bank will
return three parts of the Fee Voucher and one computer generated receipt.
This Computer generated receipt can be used for getting Prospectus from Directorate of
Advanced Studies or Undergraduate Studies of the University or any TCS office
Note: TCS will charge Rs. 200/- extra, as service charges.
At the time of admission process, University does not require any kind of educational
certificates and hard copy of applications form.
Please visit the University website ( www.gcuf.edu.pk ) regularly after the closing date for
admission status and updates.
List of top 200 applicants of each discipline will be displayed on University Website. Out of
these 200 applicants, top listed students (as per availability of seats), falling within the
“Merit List”, will be highlighted.
The highlighted successful candidates will also receive an SMS from the University
Admission Cell.

Step 2 (For Successful Applicants)

Selected Applicants will contact the Admission Incharge of the relevant department, along
with original educational documents, CNIC, two sets of complete attested photocopies of
the documents and print of online admission form (which was filled in step 1).
After completion of verification process by Departmental Admission Office, the selected
successful candidates will receive a new Fee Voucher for 1st Semester from the concerned
department and he/she will deposit the fee into the nominated banks within the
University’s Main Campus within due dates.
 If a candidate does not submit the Semester Fee within due date, it will be considered that
he / she is not interested in admission and his / her name will be removed from the Merit
List.
After depositing the fee, new comer students will go back to the relevant department and
complete enrollment process (through Departmental focal person).
