    Republic of the Philippines Department of Transportation & Communications Pee TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISING & REGULATORY BOARD MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NUMBER _2e03- a/ Subject IMPOSITION OF STANDARD FARE RATES ON VEHICLE-FOR-HIRE SERVICE ‘The Board had approved numerous applications for air-conditioned PUJ service and applications for conversion from Garage & Rent-a-Car services into Vehicle-for-Hire service, the fare rates authorized therein having beer’ proposed ~ by the operators themselves However, considering the mounting complaints from the riding public that exorbitant fare rates have been charged by the operators/drivers of air- cortditioned PUJ‘and vehicle-for hire services, the Board Heraby resolved to impose a standard schedule of fare rates for air-conditioned PUJ and vehicle-for- hire services to be charged as follows: P6.00 - for the first five (5) kilometers; and, P 1.00 - per succeeding kilometer. All existing air-conditioned PUJ and vehicle-for-hire operetors, except those on rent-a-car business, are hereby dirocled {o follow strictly this Memorandum Circular.
