American journalists arrived to Maldives on Tuesday upon invitation by Maldives Marketing and
Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) to advertise Maldives.

This marks the fifth batch of journalists invited into the country under the serialised promotional
work in collaboration with journalists from all over the world. Media teams from India, Germany,
Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom, South Korea and China have previously arrived in
Maldives under the agenda.

The American media team is scheduled to depart on upcoming Sunday.

MMPRC commented that the team is set to experience the tranquil nature of Maldives as well as
its marine beauty during their stay.

The reporters will stay at Heritance Aarah Resort in Raa Atoll and Mercure Maldives Kooddoo in
Gaafu Alif Atoll.
The American team is comprised of reporters from renowned news publications worldwide,
including 'Travel and Leisure', 'National Geographic Travel', 'USA Today' and 'New York Times'.
Each will publish their respective reporters' experiences in Maldives.

MMPRC affirmed their optimism that the venture will result in an even higher influx of American
tourists into the country than the precedent case.

There were 68,427 American tourists arrivals recorded for the year up til June.
