Our Diamec Smart 8 is a true deep hole exploration drill rig, meeting high
standards in underground core drilling. With a drilling depth capacity of up to
2 000 meters, it is the most powerful rig in its class on the market today.

+ THE POWER NEEDED FOR THE JOB

Diamec Smart 8 is the most powerful rig in the Diamec range. The rig
has a compact design, with the ability to handle -90 to +90 degree drilling
angles. A combination of high torque, sturdy feed frame and powerful
power unit, makes the Diamec Smart 8 a star in the deep drilling category.

+ ERGONOMICS AND SAFETY

Diamec Smart 8 can be equipped with a state of the art rod handling
system that relieves the operator and removes many of the hazardous
operations in the drilling process; for example, handling of the inner tube.
All drilling operations are performed from a safe distance with an easy to
use, light weight control panel. The two-hand controller, used for approv-
ing the next step in the drilling cycle, further improves safety.

+ PRODUCTIVITY AND LOWER OPERATIONAL COSTS

The rig has an advanced Rig Control System allowing it to be operated
automatically. From the touch screen on the remote control panel, all
drilling parameters are easily set and monitored. The automatic drilling of
the complete run with constant penetration rate, can improve bit life up to
400% compared to manual drilling. Automatic drilling also reduces risk for
core blockage and hole deviation.
