PREVENTIVE RECOVERY OF NON-OILED DEBRIS AND MATERIALS

Recovery of large solid waste and natural debris strewn across the beach before the oil
PRINCIPLE arrives is advisable, particularly if present in large quantities. The purpose of this opera-
tion is to reduce the volume of oiled materials which will ultimately need to be recovered
and to facilitate initial cleanup operations.
