Every year, the Synergeia Foundation convenes the Washington SyCip National Education Summit. This year, it will be held from September 18 to 19, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City. 2. The highlights of the summit are the following: a. Proposed study on the management of the Special Education Fund; b. Conferment of the Seal of Good Education Governance to local government units that have significantly contributed to the increase in participation, retention, and improvement of reading skills of children; and c. Panel discussions on the governance of School Governing Councils: community engagement, making education programs more inclusive. 3. In light of DepEd’s continuing support to initiatives that strengthen education partnerships at the local level, DepEd officials, teachers and personnel who have been invited by Synergeia or their local partners to the summit are hereby authorized to attend the event on official busines: 4. The registration fee of Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000) for every participant may be charged to the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) or other local funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 5.
