ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSTS IN THE DISCIPLINES OF ARTS,
HUMANITIES, SOCIAL SCIENCES, SCIENCES, LANGUAGES, ARE AS FOLLOWS:
(ACCORDING TO CLAUSE 4.0.0 OF THE UGC REGULATIONS 2018 DATED JULY 18,
2018)
Note: For School of Computer and Information Sciences, Centre for Advanced Studies in
Electronics Science and Technology, School of Engineering Sciences and Technology,
School of Medical Sciences, Department of Education and Education Technology and
School of Management Studies the Essential Qualifications are separately given at 1.3
as per the norms of Regulatory Authorities — such as : AICTE/MCI/NCTE, as

Eligibility (A or B):
A.i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concemed/allied/relevant discipline, and
published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with,
a minimum of TEN research publications in journals notified in the UGC CARE list and a total
research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.
ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant
Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the
University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral
candidate.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines,
from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant
contributions to the knowledge in the concemed/allied/relevant discipline, supported by
documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR,
i) A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned /allied /relevant disciplines.
ii) A Masters’ Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the
grading system is followed).
iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research
position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research
Institution/industry with a minimum of SEVEN high quality publications in journals notified in
the UGC CARE list and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in
Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR,
A.i) A Masters’ degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading
system is followed) in a concemned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility
Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like

‘The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university institution with a ranking among
the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i)
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking
of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai)
‘The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities, and Appendix II
(Table 3B) for Colleges, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only,
and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
The screening committee may adopt higher performance criteria, if required.
Good Academic Record:
To meet the criteria of ‘good academic record’ the candidate must have obtained an average of 50% marks and
above in ‘graduation’
A relaxation of 5% is provided at the Graduate and Masters level for the SC/ST/.PwD and OBC categories
the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record.

Procedure for submission of online application
Application for Faculty position is to be filled online. For this purpose, the applicants are advised
to visit the link htips://jobs.uohyd.ac.in/online. Applicants may please note that no other
mode of application is available or accepted by the University.

Upon visiting the link https://jobs.uohyd.ac.in/online, the following window shall
appear on the desktop:
Every applicant is expected to complete the Registration by giving the credentials
provided in the above sample screen shot. The login ID link will be sent to the registered
e-mail ID only. A. password has to be generated upon the first login with the Login ID
sent to the applicant’s registered e-mail ID. The login ID may be used by the applicant
for submission of Online Application Form and also for future reference.
Upon first login with the registered password by the applicant, the online window alerts
the applicant to authenticate that s/he has read and understood the details in the
employment notification and all other terms & conditions.
Applicants are advised to fil the details as applicable in the window, save and proceed to
the next window for providing the remaining details.
Applicants may also look into the sample application provided in the above link for
information and prepare themselves to provide the details. However, the sample
application itself is not to be used for providing the details. Applications are accepted
through the online mode only, wherever applicable, by uploading the relevant
documents.
A separate application is to be filled and submitted for each post. Registration Fee is also
required to be paid for each post separately.

2.4.2 On submission of the online application by providing all the details the window prompts

24.3 Only after the payment is successful, the applicant will be able to generate the print-out of
