Abstract
India has shown remarkable growth post,
liberalization in 1991 but achieving financial
inclusion — measured through branch penetration,
deposit penetration, credit penetration — still remains
‘an open challenge.
‘The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulation to issue
new bank licences addresses this problem of service
penetration with preferences to Non-Banking.
Financial Corporations. Non-banking Financial
‘Companies (NBFC) industry in India has been the
result of under regulation to over regulation by RBI.
It has been an attempt to set controls and then
restrain them so that they don’t curb the growth of
the industry.
In the Tight of these recent developments this report
explores the avenues and opportunities for future
growth of Aditya Birla Financial Services Group
(ABESG).
