We live in fast paced and innovating world. As the famous line saying goes, change is inevitable,
and it's true. As a future professional from the medical and healthcare field, research is necessary. In
relation to the famous quote, factors and everything related to healthcare is changing and will keep on
changing throughout the years. As more and more are being discovered, there will always be new stuff
lying around and there will always be something to research on. In short, life is just a cycle of endless
discoveries. As future physical therapy or rehabilitation professionals, the importance of research is not that
different to its importance in the medical field. The difference is just, I think in rehabilitation, "change"
pertains more to the advanced assistive technologies that are used in rehabilitation medicine. In
comparison to the past years, physical therapy today has evolved to its innovated state and with newer
discoveries, will continue to evolve. The collaboration of modern technology and rehabilitation medicine has
made it easier, effective and convenient for physical therapists today and of course, will also benefit us in
the near future. Also, in physical therapy practice, movement and mobility is the core foundation. According
to Westerdahl (2013), it is practical, therefore it is based on science, supported in practice, and further
methodically developed.of In conclusion, research really does play a big role throughout one's medical
career. Conducting a research will open not just windows for new knowledge to come through but also to
open doors for experiences. Most importantly, it will also serve as a backbone for learning and for sparking
one's interests.
