Silver is a poem that cleverly describes the light of the
moon at night. It is written by the famous British poet, Walter de la mare. As well as personification, Walter used intriguing descriptions, and similes. The lines are short and has rhymed the poem in a rather friendly way. He describes the setting as a quiet country side property at night and the moon sheds its silver light onto everything she touches. Her light is described as silver because of how bright and beautiful it appears to be. To be honest, I really enjoyed this tranquil, quite interesting poem, the language really allows you to experience the whole scenario. He is a very talented poet.
