Car Detailing Process and Benefits

Car Detailing means a thorough cleaning of a car with the purpose of making it
look as clean as possible both inside and out. The term detailing usually refers to
most kinds of car cleaning. Detailing a car requires going beyond the usual vacuum
and wash job. It means paying attention to the tiny details that add up to make the
car look show-worthy.

Benefits of Car Detailing:

● Removes dirt
● Keeps car neat and presentable
● Confidence booster
● Makes your car stand out
● Helps in resale value

Car Detailing includes:

Exterior process:
Wash and Dry:
Exterior detailing starts with a high powdered wash, thorough handwashing with
mild soap and ends with drying.

Clay:
The next step is clay work, where the detailer uses a clay bar to remove any traces
of overspray (watermarks, soap, scum) and other particles, which the wash couldn't
remove on its own.

Polish:
It's normal for a car to lose some of its shine. So restoring its original paint coating
is called polishing.

Seal :
Finally, the exterior process ends with the application of sealant, to give the car a
glossy shine. In some cases, detailers go farther, by applying wax to the surface.
Interior Process:
Vacuuming:
The first step of interior car detailing starts with the use of a vacuum. The car
receives cleaning even in the glove compartment and trunk.

Brushing/Scrubbing/Shampooing:
This is where the grinding work comes in; the mats and carpets receive a thorough
brushing and scrubbing. The goal is to remove the stains and blemishes.

Wiping/Re-Vacuuming:
The next focus is on particular surfaces, such as the window, dashboard, and door
panels. The detailer will wipe their surfaces down with a cleaning agent, which
will bring a new shine to your car’s interior.

Deodorising:
Finally, the detailer will spray inside your car to ensure it has a pleasing odor, as a
finishing touch.

The goal of detailing is to restore your vehicle to its original form and have it
looking brand new. Car detailing involves poring over every inch of your vehicle
to remove any dirt, dust, grease, and grime that can damage your car. Detailing is
typically performed by a professional automotive technician, applying a proven
system that uses specialized cleaning agents and equipment.
