Mitochondria

Electron Transport Chain (ETC)

Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm. In the absence of oxygen, the process will be anaerobic respiration,
and lactic acid will be produced. In the presence of oxygen, the pyruvates formed will enter the
mitochondria and aerobic respiration will take place.
The TCA Cycle/Krebs Cycle

The tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA cycle) is a series of enzyme-catalyzed chemical reactions that form a key part of aerobic
respiration in cells. This cycle is also called the Krebs cycle and the citric acid cycle.
