To achieve this set objective, AGC shall stress on the following: Housekeeping. Prompt waste collection and disposal. Optimal material use. Analysis of the environmental implications. Surveillance of all operations by HSE Personnel shall be carried out through the monitoring and inspection of all construction activities to ensure environmental compliance. 2. Scope This procedure shall be applicable to all AGC projects, workshops, plants, facilities and labor camps. The scope of this procedure covers all the categories of waste generated, handled, transported and disposed off as a result of AGC Operation & services. All wastes which cannot be reduced or reused, if possible, will be recycled by returning the materials to a recycle party. When no market or capability exists for given waste, the waste will be sent to an appropriate offsite disposal facility. 7.2 Types of Wastes AGC shall practice waste segregation at all operational sites prior to disposal of any waste material. Waste segregation shall be practiced in accordance with hazard classification, physical and chemical properties, potential for reuse / recycle and ultimate disposal at ali operational sites. Segregation at source also facilities easy collection, saves time, money and effort spent on sorting out waste materials at later stages. Work sites and camps occupied by AGC personnel shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. House Keeping on work sites and camps shall be part of the daily cleaning operations.
