There is a relationship

The one that remains unaddressable.

The relationship of a pen and a paper.
The feelings involved are confusing at times.
The pen- The abuser, the lover.
The paper- The victim, the loved one.
It's hard to imagine and tell
How the empty body of the paper feels
When the tip of the pen
Penetrates the paper with its ink.
When the pen whispers liquid
On to the naked body of the paper.
When the trail of perpetual kisses
Reaches the lips of the paper
The paper neither complains
Nor does it evince
Whether the pen is being polite
Or stabbing it in exasperation.
Whether the words feel cold on the body
Or its intensity burns every single thread of the paper.
Whether the bad odor of the words languishes the semblance of the paper.
Or the solicitous words overwhelm it with its alluring scent.
It's a matter of time until we see
The pen- exposing the paper and immortalizing it for eternity.
The pen- challenging the fertility of the paper
