My honourable to the judges .

My honourable to the ladies and gentlemen.

Well, i would like to introduce my self,

My name is Nasywa Luthfia Alfi, and i’m from senior high school number 1 Kuala
Tungkal.

In occasion, i would like to tell you about a story from Jambi, the title is “A Little
Finger” or “Kelingking”.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Long, long time ago, there live an old couple in a land far, far away in Jambi. The old
couple didn’t have child. Everytime they always prayed to have a baby to the god.
“Dear God, please give us son... Although he will as big as pinky.” Their wished. The
God listened about their wished, just in short time, the wife got pregnant and bore a
little son. Unfortunately, their baby had a small body condition. It is not quiet normal.
Since the baby to adult, his body was only a little finger or kelingking. So he was called
Kelingking. Kelingking never lacked of self confidence even though he used to be
insulted and negleted because of his body and his parents love him very much. They
didn’t care about their son’s body condition.
One day, a ghost came to Kelingking’s village. The people called her Gergasi. She was
a crual ghost, she ate human, animal, and other living things. Arrival Gergasi, the Jambi
people felt worried and disturbed as like as Kelingking’s family. They wern’t brave to
work in rice field. Hearing the situation, the king of Jambi commanded his society to
evacuate. But, Kelingking face the Gergasi to go out from his village. Of course, it
made his parents worried. “Don’t worry mom and dad, I will againts the cruel ghost
bravely.” Kelingking said. “But your body too small, the Gergasi will laugh you won’t
she?”. His parents ask him really worried. In fact, Kelingking had a strategy with the
lack of his body to fight the Gergasi into a deep revine. So,when the Gergasi was in
front of his eyes, he entered to Gergasi ear. Because she didn’t know there was
something in her ear, Kelingking played her eardrum delighly. Sometimes, he shouted
hard, it made the Gergasi too dificult in concentration. Last, Kleingking had brought
small twig then he removed it repeatedly very well around her eardrum. The Gergasi
felt amuse, Keligking did it enthusiamly. She felt so amuse while running without aware
she was in front of deep revine. Slippered and felt to revine, she was died and lost from
Keligking’s village. The people was happy, and the king promoted Kelingking as the
commander palace.

The next day, Kelingking asked his father to purposed the king’s daughter. But, his
father confused bout kelingking’s wanted because of his body condition. Finally his
father granted with kelingking’s wanted. Kelingking and his family went to the palace.
However, the king was a wise king. He called his daughter right away. He asked his
daughter to be Kelingking’s wife. How surprice the king, was when his daughter wanted
to be Kelingking’s wife. Kelingking and his family became so happy.

After determine wedding date, the king held the wedding party between his daughter
and Kelingking for 7 days and 7 nights. The attendance didn’t believe in what they saw.
A princess married a small kelingking. Finally the princess and Kelingking live happily
ever after.
Well, judges, ladies and gentlemen, that’s all my story.

From the story we get the moral massage, is keeping away from tendency to
underestimate other people, everyone has lacking so we must appreciated him, ‘cause
nobody is perfect.
