Do you have the Real Bible?

"Where the Word of a King is, there is power:" Ecclesiastes 8:4, KJV.
God has placed a lot of importance upon His Words.

Matthew 24:35, KJV, reads, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My WORDS shall
not pass away."
Psalms 138:2, KJV, says, ". . . for Thou hast magnified Thy WORD above all Thy
Name."
Psalms 119:89, KJV, says, "For ever, O LORD, Thy WORD is settled in Heaven."
The spiritual life-blood of the human race is the Word of God.

The Word of God:

Brings Salvation: "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the Word of God. . ." (1 Peter 1:23, KJV).
Produces Faith: ". . . faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of
God" (Romans 10:17, KJV).
Produces Spiritual Growth: ". . .desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye
may grow thereby:" (1 Peter 2:2, KJV).

Jesus Christ said in John 6:63, KJV ". . .the Words that I speak unto you, they
are SPIRIT, and they are LIFE." And the first time Satan attacks the human race
was a direct attack on the Word of God!
Genesis 3:1, KJV says, "Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field
which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, YEA, HATH GOD
SAID. . .?"
Satan planted a small seed of doubt into the mind of Eve. And as Eve questioned the
Truthfulness of God's Word - the fall of mankind was only a bite away.
Satan's aim of attack hasn't changed!

In Luke 8, Jesus Christ tells the parable of the sower, verses 11,12 read, "Now the
parable is this: The SEED is the Word of God. . . THEN COMETH THE
DEVIL, and taketh away the Word. . ."

Satan knows - if he can supplant even a small seed of doubt in God's Word -
MANKIND WILL LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Never in history has such doubt and confusion over the Bible existed as is today. And
nothing has flamed the fire of confusion and doubt over the Bible more than the
scores of different translations flooding the scene. Time magazine (April 20, 1981
p.62) reports, ". . . there is an UNPRECEDENTED CONFUSION of choices
in Bibles. Never have so many major new translations been on the
market." Since 1880, over 200 different translations have appeared. Every six months
a new English version appears!

NO WONDER PEOPLE ARE CONFUSED!

The question has to be asked - is God the Author of this flood of new versions? Is
God the Author of CONFUSION in His Word? 1 Corinthians 14:33, KJV, clearly
states, "God is NOT the Author of CONFUSION."

BUT SATAN IS! He knows, if he can plant the smallest seed of doubt and
confusion - that individual will not take God's Word serious!

Amos 8:11, KJV, says that "¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing
the Words of the LORD:". True to this, there is a dearth for the pure Word of God as
modern corrupt bibles have flooded the market. We must be aware that the Bible is
under attack. In earlier days, Bibles were burned to destroy them, but in this modern
era, Satan is trying to destroy the Bible and its credibility without burning it by
corrupting the very Word of God by taking away or adding words to it. A little leaven
leaveneth the whole lump (1 Corinthians 5:6, KJV) and taking away or adding a few
words to the Word of God, alters its meaning and corrupts the whole Bible. This is
one of Satan’s master plan to take away people’s faith in the Bible and to make people
question its authenticity. Word of God magnifies TRUTH; whereas, the devil's crowd
magnifies UNITY. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:20,
KJV. Bibles that are corrupt therefore, produce corrupt teachings and corrupted
teachings produce a corrupt faith in people. The greatest method of deception is
to counterfeit. And the master of counterfeit and deception is Satan. You see
what the Devil has done to God's Word?
Satan only comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10, KJV). If the Devil can't
destroy the Bible, then he tries to change It (Romans 1:25, KJV). If the Devil can't
change the Bible, then he tries to replace it with fables. Satan, who succeeded in
selling the first "revised" edition of God's Word to Eve in the Garden of Eden, has
surely been busy in this 20th Century along the same lines. We know about the
"population explosion" and the "explosion of scientific knowledge," but we are also in
the middle of a "Bible translation explosion"- a veritable flood of new Bible
translations, versions, revisions and paraphrases, all claiming to be the "most
accurate," the "most readable" and the "most up-to-date." The publishing and sale of
these new Bibles has become a highly profitable business, employing all the
psychological approaches of modern advertising to sell them to the public. Some
think this proliferation of Bible versions is wonderful. But serious-minded, thoughtful
people must eventually ask, "Which Bible is the real Bible, the true Word of God?"
Are the new versions different?

Most people believe the different versions are basically the same. They believe the
newer versions are just "harmless" updating of words and made easier to understand.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

Who would do such a thing?

I'll give you a hint - he's called the "A LIAR, and the father of it" in John 8:44, KJV!
He is Satan.
In earlier times, Bibles were burned to destroy them but today Satan has been
successful in destroying the Bible without burning them. By altering the meanings of
verses in the modern versions, Satan has taken away the Truth by doubt,
contradiction, and replacement. He hates the King James Bible because it is the
Power of God that saves men and women from the pits of Hell. Therefore Satan has
deceived many and replaced the King James Bible with many counterfeit corrupted
new age versions.
Today there are hundreds of modern Bible versions. But not all Bibles are the pure
Word of God. Our enemy, Satan has sown tares among the wheat and therefore it is a
matter of utmost importance that we recognize the True Word of God. There is only
One Way to God and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. And only the King James
Version (KJV) of the Bible in English points to Jesus where as the other modern
versions water down the doctrines of sin and redemption through the Blood of Jesus
Christ. Modern translations & versions of the Bible are not of God. These modern
translations of the Bible have gone against the warning of God and have added to or
removed verses from the Bible and they have altered the meaning of verses, thus
corrupting God’s Word. These corrupted versions such as NIV, ESV, NLT, NWT,
NCV, NKJV, NASB, NRSV, Living Bible, Good News Bible, Message Bible,
Amplified Bible, Queens' Bible, etc, do not lead people to Jesus Christ but lead people
to a false christ- the Antichrist.

Those who read the new Bible versions are those who are ever learning but never able
to come to the knowledge of the Truth (2 Timothy 3:7, KJV). A replacement false
gospel is taught by these modern Bible versions. The emerging ‘new’ false Christianity
— with its substitution of riches for righteousness, a crown for a cross, and an
imitation for a new creation — is shown to be a direct result of the wording in new
versions.
The King James Bible is based on the ‘Textus Receptus’ manuscript - originally
known as the ‘Received Text’ which comes from Antioch and is uncorrupted &
reliable and vetted by the apostles and the early church where as all the modern
English Bibles are based on the corrupted two Alexandrian manuscripts, the
‘Codex Vaticanus’ and the ‘Codex Sinaiticus’. Up until the late 1800s, these
Alexandrian Texts were utterly rejected by Christians as they were overwhelmed with
errors. The ‘Textus Receptus’ has been passed down through time copied by people
who fear God and believe the ultimate authority of His Word. History shows that
‘Textus Receptus’ has the strongest claim of being the authentic representation of the
original manuscripts. Every new and modern version of English Bibles that have been
launched have been translated from the corrupt Alexandrian manuscripts written
sometime in the 2nd Century AD- Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, that came
out of the Gnostic Mystery teachings of Alexandria, ancient Egypt. The Gnostics
deliberately corrupted the Word of God and their manuscripts and were rejected by
the early church as heresy. These corrupted manuscripts were discovered by scholars
in a garbage dump around 4-5 century AD, translated into Latin and these corrupted
manuscripts were used as the basis for all the ‘new’ English Bible translations in the
19th century. The roots of the KJV Bible and the roots of modern Bibles are entirely
different. KJV is the good fruit which leads to eternal life where as the modern Bibles
are the corrupt fruits that leads to eternal damnation.

The King James Bible and the Modern bibles come from two different roots
and therefore their fruit is also different. “Ye shall know them by their fruits.
 Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree
bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good
tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good
fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”. Matthew 7:16-18,20, KJV.

The King James Version of the Bible is the only pure and perfect translation in
English. In it you find the Words of eternal life. It is the only Book which can make
you wise to Salvation! It is the Word of God purified seven times and preserved from
generation to generation. The Word of God- the Bible is sustenance to the soul. It
gives wisdom to the mind and comfort to the heart and shines a light for us to walk
on in this dark world. The Bible should be the glass through which we see everything,
and it should be the Standard, the plumb line that we use to measure all things. It
should be the Shepherd that leads us in life. The Word of God is a pool of refreshing
Living Water that quenches the thirsty soul and it is the Bread of Life that fills the
hungry heart. It is the healing balm that heals our wounds. Most importantly, it is the
Divinely inspired, revealed Word of God to mankind. And it leads us to the One True
God- the Lord Jesus Christ.

A comparison of Bible versions shows that they are really not the same. Some leave
out entire verses, others disagree on whether Jesus should be called God's servant or
God's Son. But how do you decide which is completely correct?

Read these verses, then you can understand why changing or adding one word to the
Word of God changes an essential doctrine of our faith.

King James Version Modern Versions

“In the beginning was the Word, and the “In the beginning was the Word, and the

Verse 7 is the only verse in the Bible that
testifies of the Godhead, the Triune
nature of God.
One of the clearest verses in the Bible “Without any doubt, the mystery of our
proclaiming the Deity of Jesus Christ, that religion is great: He[a] was revealed in
Jesus was God in the flesh, is 1 Timothy flesh,….” 1 Timothy 3:16, NRSV.
3:16, KJV. The King James Bible
reads, "And without controversy great is Most new versions have taken the word

An attack on the Deity of Jesus Christ! The new translations completely re-word
the verse to deny the deity of Jesus Christ!
In Philippians 2:6, The KJV again, clearly The NIV, RSV, NASV, NRSV,
declares the deity of Jesus Christ: "Who, NKJV(1979 ed.), etc. reads, "Who, being
being in the form of God, thought it not in very nature God, DID NOT
robbery TO BE EQUAL WITH CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH
GOD" GOD something to be grasped,"

These modern Bibles are attacking the

most important doctrine in the Bible - the
deity of Jesus Christ!
“The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and Modern bibles attack the Sonship of
of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath Jesus as they call Jesus God’s servant
glorified His Son Jesus;” Acts 3:13, KJV. instead of Son
“The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
the God of our fathers, has glorified His

They attack the virgin birth! The NIV, NASV, NRSV, etc. reads, "The
CHILD'S FATHER and mother
In Luke 2:33, The King James marveled at what was said about
 reads, "And JOSEPH and His mother
marvelled at those things which were
spoken of Him."
Isaiah 7:14, KJV reads,
"Therefore the LORD Himself shall give
you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call "maiden." A young woman or a maiden is

They remove the Blood!
Consider Colossians 1:14: the KJV
reads, "In Whom we have
redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD,
even the forgiveness of sins:"
They attack John 3:16!
In the KJV, John 3:16 clearly says that so loved the world that he gave his ONE
Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON
OF GOD.
“For God so loved the world, that He
gave His only Begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life”. John
3:16, KJV.
Let's Compare Micah 5:2
"But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though
him." The "CHILD'S FATHER"? Do
you believe that Joseph was Jesus' father?
Not if you believe the virgin birth! Not if
you believe John 3:16, that Jesus Christ
was the Son of God! A subtle, attack at
the virgin birth. Joseph was not the
biological father of Jesus Christ.
Most of the new translations have
attacked the Virgin Birth of the Lord
Jesus Christ by substituting the word
"virgin" with "young woman" or
NOT necessarily a virgin. Mary, the
mother of Jesus, WAS a virgin. In fact,
Matthew tells us so in Matthew 1:23,
when he QUOTES Isaiah 7:14 and uses
the word "VIRGIN."
The NWT version reads, “Therefore
Jehovah* himself will give YOU men a
sign: Look! The maiden* herself will
actually become pregnant, and she is
giving birth to a son, and she will
certainly call his name Im·manʹu·el.*
Isaiah 7:14, NWT.
The NIV reads, "In whom we have
redemption, the forgiveness of sins." The
NIV, NASV, RSV, NRSV and co. rip the
precious words "THROUGH HIS
BLOOD" out! Salvation is
only "THROUGH HIS BLOOD". That
old song says, "What can wash away my
sins, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD
OF JESUS!" The modern versions
remove the very verse that shows us how
to be saved!
The NIV and company reads, "For God
AND ONLY SON, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life" - removing the critical
word "BEGOTTEN"! If Jesus was "the
one and only" then what happens to the
wonderful promise to believers like 1
John 3:2, "Beloved, now are we the sons
of God. . ."? AN OBVIOUS
CONTRADICTION
APPEARS! These modern translations
are similar to doctrines of mystery
religions that claim that anyone can
become a ‘Son of God’ which is
heresy.
“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
who are too little to be among the
clans of Judah,
 thou be little among the thousands of
Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth
unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings forth have been from
old, from everlasting."
The King James gives us the superior
reading by telling us that Christ is
from "everlasting." That is, He is Eternal.
Let's Compare Luke 23:42
"And he said unto Jesus, Lord,
remember me when Thou comest into
Thy Kingdom." Luke 23:42, KJV.
In this particular case, the dying thief is
being saved. Romans 10:13 tells us that
we are saved by calling upon the Name of
the "Lord," and this man addresses Jesus
as "Lord."
“For whosoever shall call upon the Name
of the Lord shall be saved”. Romans
10:13, KJV.
Let's Compare Revelation 11:17
Almighty, who are and who were, because
"Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord
God Almighty, Which art, and wast, and
art to come; because Thou hast taken to
Thee Thy great power, and hast reigned."
Revelation 11:17, KJV.
This verse reminds us that Jesus is
COMING AGAIN, or at least it does in
the King James.
They tell lies!
"I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way" - is found in 1:2,3: "It is written in Isaiah the prophet:
Malachi 3:1! The King
James correctly reads: "As it is written in who will prepare your way -a voice of one
the PROPHETS, . . ." Mark 1:2,3, KJV.
the Lord, make straight paths for him." It
is NOT written in Isaiah! The modern
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose coming forth is from of old,
from ancient days”. Micah 5:2, ESV.
Do the new versions contain this reading?
No, most of them do not. Some say that
He's from "ancient times," and others say
that He's from "days of old," but these
terms do not imply that Jesus is Deity.
The term "everlasting" DOES imply
Deity. The King James is SUPERIOR,
for it EXALTS the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Then he said, “Jesus, remember me
when you come into your kingdom.”
Luke 23:42, NIV.
The new versions, however, rob Jesus of
His Lordship by stealing the
word "Lord" from the text!
“We give You thanks, O Lord God, the
You have taken Your great power and
have begun to reign.” Revelation 11:17,
NASB.
In many versions (or perhaps we should
say "perversions") the words "art to
come" have been taken out of the text.
A blatant error is found in the NIV,
NASV, NRSV and "buddies" in Mark
I will send my messenger ahead of you,
calling in the desert, Prepare the way for
Bible are claimed to be ‘better’ and
easy to understand translations. But
they lie.
Psalms 119:160 says, "Thy word is
TRUE. . ." John 17:17 says, ". . . Thy
Word is TRUTH." Titus 1:2 clearly
says, ". . . God that CANNOT LIE"

They make Lucifer and Jesus Christ -
THE SAME! In Isaiah 14:12, the father
of the new versions removes his mask.
The King James reads, "How art thou
fallen from heaven, O LUCIFER, son of
the morning!. . ."
They take out Hell!
Hell is a real place where those who have
died rejecting Jesus as their Saviour go to
Hell for eternity. Hell is the eternal
consequence of rejecting God’s Way of
Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. “And
fear not them which kill the body, but are
not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
Him Which is able to destroy both soul
and body in Hell”. Matthew 10:28, KJV.
Where as the KJV Bible warns of Hell,
the modern versions hide it in order to
deliberately mislead people.
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art
Peter, and upon this rock I will build My
church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it”. Matthew 16:18, KJV.
“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in
torments, and seeth Abraham afar off,
and Lazarus in his bosom. ” Luke 16:23,
KJV.
“He seeing this before spake of the
resurrection of Christ, that His soul was
not left in hell, neither His flesh did see
corruption.”. Acts 2:31, KJV.
“The wicked shall be turned into Hell,
and all the nations that forget God.”
Psalm 9:17, KJV.
If Satan is the author of these new
versions, one subject he will aim his
attack, is the place the Bible calls Hell.
How could the God of Titus 1:2 be the
God of Mark 1:2,3 in these new versions?
Either the translators of the NIV, NASV,
RSV, NRSV, "crowd" can't read or have
never read Isaiah nor Malachi (which is
likely!) or somebody is deliberately
tampering with God's Word to
DISCREDIT IT!
The NIV, NASV, NRSV etc.
reads, "How you have fallen from heaven,
O MORNING STAR, son of the
dawn. . ." The new versions change
"Lucifer" to "morning star". According
to Revelation 22:16, the "morning
star" is the Lord Jesus Christ! What
blasphemy! What perversion! And there's
no basis whatsoever for the change! The
Hebrew word for star (kokab) is not even
found in Isaiah 14:12! Is there any
doubt who is the "author" of these
new versions?!
“Don’t be bluffed into silence by the
threats of bullies. There’s nothing they
can do to your soul, your core being. Save
your fear for God, who holds your
entire life—body and soul—in his
hands.” Matthew 10:28, Message Bible.
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on
this rock I will build my church, and the
gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
Matthew 16:18, NIV.
“and in Hades, being in torment, he
lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far
off and Lazarus at his side”. Luke 16:23,
ESV.
“he foresaw and spoke [prophetically] of
the resurrection of the Christ (the
Messiah, the Anointed), that HE WAS NOT
ABANDONED [in death] TO HADES(the
realm of the dead), NOR DID His
body UNDERGO DECAY”. Acts 2:31,
Amplified Bible.
Many times when the new versions come
to the obvious word "Hell" - they replace
it with the Greek word "Hades" or
Hebrew "Sheol"! (See Matthew 16:18,
Luke 16:23, Acts 2:31 and many, many
more, the NEW King James does this 29
times!) Rather than translate into the
obvious word hell - THEY REFUSE TO
TRANSLATE IT!
Many times they change "Hell" to "grave"
or "death", but the word "Hell" is far and
 And the new versions go "into loony few in the new versions! Like Psalm 9:17:
land" removing it! in the King James reads, "The wicked
shall be turned into HELL. . ." The NIV,
reads, "The wicked return to
the GRAVE. . ." We ALL "return to the
GRAVE"!
RSV reads, “The wicked shall depart to
Sheol, all the nations that forget God.”
Psalm 9:17, RSV.
And this is a better translation? And
these new versions are "easier to read"
and "understand"? Who in their right
mind thinks Hades or Sheol is "easier to
understand" than hell? Why didn't they
leave in the Greek word "Ouranos" for
heaven? It's obvious! Because someone
is trying to remove and cast doubt on
the place called Hell!

In Isaiah 14:15, the King James Bible

condemns Lucifer to Hell: "Yet thou shalt
be brought down to HELL . . ." The new
versions refuse to send Lucifer to Hell!
The NIV reads, "But you are brought
down to the GRAVE. . ." The NASV,
NRSV, NEW King James (NKJV) places
him in "Sheol"!
An alarming display of Satanic perversion Incredibly, the NIV, NASV, NRSV,
is found in Luke 11. The "The Lord's etc. take out: "WHICH ART IN
Prayer" is subtly (see 2 Corinthians 11:3) HEAVEN. . . Thy will be done, AS IN
transformed into "The Devil's Prayer". HEAVEN, so in earth. . . but
DELIVER US FROM
The King James Bible in Luke 11:2-4, EVIL." Heaven is completely
reads, ". . .Our Father which art in removed! The "father" of the new
heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy versions is NOT IN
kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in HEAVEN and DOES NOT
heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day DELIVER FROM EVIL!
our daily bread. And forgive us our sins;
for we also forgive every one that is
indebted to us. And lead us not into
temptation; but deliver us from evil."
Let's Compare II Timothy 2:15 New Bible translations take out the word
‘Study’ and replace it with other words.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto “Work hard so you can present yourself
God, a workman that needeth not to be to God and receive his approval. Be a
ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of good worker, one who does not need to
Truth." 2 Timothy 2:15, KJV. be ashamed and who correctly explains
the word of truth”. 2 Timothy 2:15, NLT.
Did you know, the King James Bible is
the only English Bible in the world that
has a command to "study" your Bible!
That's right! 2 Timothy 2:15,KJV has
been changed in every English Bible
on the face of this earth! BUT ONE!
 This is probably the greatest verse in the

Naturally, the new translation editors
couldn't resist the temptation to change it.
The word "Study" has been omitted by
most all new versions. Does II Timothy
2:15 in your version tell you to "study," or
has the verse been butchered to pieces by
Satan's scribes?

Are you getting the picture? These are just a few examples of how the new Bible
versions attack Jesus Christ, contradict Biblical doctrine and create doubt in the mind
of the reader. Do you see how subtil (see Genesis 3:1, KJV), seemingly, harmless the
changes are - AND YET HOW DEADLY THEY ARE TO THE INTEGRITY OF
GOD'S WORD!
There you have it, some good examples of how the new translations are NOT better.
Satan has been very successful in convincing our generation that the new translations
are necessary and that they are better. They are UNNECESSARY and they are
SATANIC! In fact, the Greek text from which ALL new translations are produced
was constructed by men who were deeply involved in the OCCULT (B.F. Westcott
and F.J.A. Hort)! BEWARE OF ALL THE NEW TRANSLATIONS!

The King James Bible is based on over FIVE THOUSAND pieces of manuscript
evidence, which is NINETY-FIVE percent of all manuscript evidence available. The
new perversions (all of them) are based on the remaining FIVE percent.

If you've been led to believe that there are better translations than the King James
Bible, then you've been deceived by the Devil. Forsake the new translations and
return to the grand old Book that God has used and blessed for centuries. Use the
Book that God uses: The King James Authorized Version.

The New Bible versions attack the Lord Jesus Christ! They attack
the plan of Salvation!
They glorify Lucifer! And they deny Hell!

Yes, Satan has launched an attack on your Bible!

YOU'D BETTER BELIEVE IT!

They take out whole verses!

In Acts 8:37, the King James reads, "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine
heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of
God." The NIV, NASV, RSV, NRSV and "buddies" reads - ZIP! NOTHING!
THEY TOOK THE WHOLE VERSE OUT! One of the best verses in the Bible
on Salvation through Jesus Christ and they rip it out! Why?

Why is it that every time a sinner is saved by grace in the book of Acts - THEY
ATTACK IT? In Acts 9:5-6: Paul is getting saved, and they take out 20 words! In
Acts 16:31 when the Philippian jailor is getting saved, the word "CHRIST" is
delicately removed! Why do these new bibles so fiercely attack God's wonderful plan
of Salvation? Because they are deliberately misleading people away from the Only
Way to Salvation- Jesus Christ and by so doing they are leading people to Hell.

Several times the Lord warns against "adding and taking away" from His Word.

Deuteronomy 4:2, KJV reads: "YE SHALL NOT ADD unto the Word which I
command you, NEITHER SHALL YE DIMINISH ought from it . . ."
Proverbs 30::6, KJV, reads, "ADD THOU NOT unto His Words . . ."
And just in case you missed it, GOD'S LAST WARNING is Revelation 22:18-19,
KJV ". . . IF ANY MAN SHALL ADD unto these things. . . And if any man shall
TAKE AWAY FROM THE WORDS of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take
away his part out of the Book of Life. . ."
And despite these clear warnings, the new versions, take out and add text, over and
over! One of the greatest verses in all the Bible, Matthew 18:11, KJV: "For the Son of
man is come to save that which was lost." - THEY TAKE IT OUT!

WHY!

They take out: Romans 16:24, Mark 11:25, Acts 15:34, Luke 23:17, Acts 28:29, John
5:4, Mark 7:16, 9:44,46 and many, many more - as your Bible is literally cut apart!

Jesus Christ says, in Luke 4:4, ". . . It is written, That man shall not live by bread
alone, but by EVERY WORD OF GOD." Not according to the NIV, NASV,
NRSV and crew! In fact, the even "tear out"the last half of Luke 4:4 - "BUT BY
EVERY WORD OF GOD"!

But some would argue that the new versions have the deity in other places. They
contain the plan of Salvation in other places. There is good in them. Did you know
ONE tiny, microscopic AIDS virus will "defile" a whole batch of perfectly "good"
blood? It has some "good" in it - BUT IT WOULD BE DEADLY!

Would you "inject" it into your child, loved one or congregation? And would you
"inject" them with a Bible that is "defiled" because it has some "good"? It
could be far more costly than their physical life - THEIR ETERNAL
SOUL! Galatians 5:9, KJV, says, "A LITTLE leaven leaveneth THE WHOLE
lump."

But aren't the new versions easier to read?

One of the lies used to promote these modern (per)versions is "they're easier to
read and understand". But according to a Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level research
study, The King James Bible is by far the easiest! Out of 26 different categories - the
King James graded easier in a whopping 23! (New Age Bible Versions, Riplinger,
pp.195-209)

But haven't "older and more reliable" manuscripts been discovered?

But haven't "older and more reliable manuscripts been discovered" since the King
James Bible. Dr. Sam Gipp writes, "The fact is, that the King James translators
had ALL OF THE READINGS available to them that modern critics have available
to them today." (The Answer Book, Gipp, p.110) Not only that, but most of the
recent discoveries support the King James Bible! And furthermore, it is a well
documented fact that 85 - 90 per cent of all readings agree with the King James
Bible! SO WHY ALL THE CHANGES? See Genesis 3:1, KJV.

What about the "ORIGINALS"?

Your King James Bible is attacked by preachers, some intentional and some simply
out of ignorance, by "correcting" it with "THE ORIGINALS". There is one itsy-
bitsy problem. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "THE ORIGINALS"! We
don't have the "originals" Moses, or Paul, or David wrote. There are no set
of "ORIGINALS" on the face of this earth! The ghost of "THE ORIGINALS" is a
LIE! See John 8:44, KJV!

Preachers, by the thousands, will stand weekly in the pulpit and "correct" your King
James Bible by saying, "This is an unfortunate translation" or "a better reading would
be" or "this word in the 'Greek' can also be translated. . ." Friend, where is the Lord
God? The One that "spoke" the worlds into existence - can He not preserve His
Word as He promised in Psalm 12:7 and Matthew 24:35? Did God Almighty NOT
know what He was "inspiring"? Does the Lord need these "Bible correctors" to
"help" Him "straighten-out" His word?

As God promised, He has preserved His Word for the English people in the King
James Bible. Proverbs 16:10, KJV says, "A divine sentence is in the lips of the KING.
. ." Ecclesiastes 8:4, KJV, says, "Where the word of a KING is, there is power . . ."

King James:"James" is not an English word but a Hebrew word. Did you know the
Hebrew word for James is Jacob! You'll never guess what Psalms 147:19, KJV
says, "He showeth His WORD unto JACOB . . ."

2 Timothy 2:9, KJV, reads, " . . . the Word of God is NOT BOUND." Anybody
can freely (there's that word Eve omitted in Genesis 3:2, KJV) print, distribute, and
reproduce the King James Bible, without asking anybody for permission! All other

The Old Testament Books

The Old Testament "oracles of God" were providentially committed to the Jewish, or
Hebrew people (Romans 3: 1,2). The ancient Massoretes (students of Moses' law)
devoted their lives to perfection in preserving and copying the Old Testament books.
The story of their work is a marvelous testimony to God's preservation of His word
to all generations. There is very little controversy regarding the Hebrew text.

The New Testament Books

About 5,000 copies of the Greek text of the New Testament exist in safekeeping
around the world. The great majority of these are identical or almost identical to the
"received text" (also called "majority text, "textus receptus," or "Byzantine text"). This
text was used by the Waldenses, and was preserved by the true church through the
ages. The King James Version in the English language was translated from this text.

Early Greek Translations

The Apostle Paul, the preacher to the gentiles, could speak or write in both Hebrew
and Greek (see Acts 21: 40; the New Testament epistles by Paul were written in
Greek). The Apostles quoted from the Hebrew text of the Old Testament in many
places in the New Testament. They undoubtedly had access to the original Hebrew
text in the original language.

Early English Translations

The Scriptures were translated into Latin, French, Dutch, German, and other
languages where the Church of Jesus Christ existed through the centuries. When
persecution drove the church into English-speaking nations, the Lord providentially
directed its translation there. Some of the early English translations include: John
Wycliffe (1380); William Tyndale (1526); Coverdale's (1535); The Geneva Bible
(1557).

The King James Version

There can be little doubt that it is to the advantage of the Church of Jesus Christ that
the same translation be generally used by the people in the nations where the church
exists. The King James Version translators were primarily Puritan and Anglican
scholars, whose personal biases were thereby balanced, resulting in a translation which
could be generally used by English-speaking people. These were men of remarkable
talent and integrity. King James was not personally involved in the work of
translation, so his character and name is of no special consequence. What IS
IMPORTANT is the evidence of God's providential direction of this English
translation, and His blessing upon it since.

Forty-seven translators and scholars produced the King James Bible, which was first
published in 1611 under the sponsorship of James VI and I. (James acceded to the
throne of Scotland as James VI in 1567, and to that of England and Ireland as James I
in 1603. The correct style is therefore "James VI and I".) In Geneva, Switzerland the
first generation of Protestant Reformers had produced the Geneva Bible of
1560 from the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures, which was influential in the
writing of the Authorized King James Version. The translation was done by 6 panels
of translators, (47 men in all) had work divided up between them; the Old
Testament was entrusted to three panels, the New Testament to two, and
the Apocrypha to one, most of whom were leading Biblical scholars in England. In
common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was
translated from Greek, the Old Testament from Hebrew and Aramaic, and
the Apocrypha from Greek and Latin. It was first printed by John Norton & Robert
Barker, both the King's Printer, and was the third translation into English approved
by the English Church authorities.

Forty Seven men were directly involved in the translation of the King James Bible
Most were Translators, while a few were project overseers, revisers and editors. Some
served in several roles. Who were these men? What were their backgrounds? What did
they share? In what ways were they different? They were a diverse group. While some
were born in large cities and towns, most were from small villages scattered
throughout England. Several were the children of university graduates, most were not.
They were sons of mariners, farmers, school teachers, cordwainers (leather
merchants), fletchers (makers of bows and arrows), ministers, brewers, tailors, and
aristocrats.
They all had a familiarity with the ancient languages of Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and
often many more. They came on the historical scene at a time when the knowledge of
early biblical texts and language was exploding. Such a flowering of interest and
expertise was unique. Bible historian, Gordon Campbell, has observed:

The population from which scholars can now be drawn is much larger than in the
seventeenth century, but it would be difficult now to bring together a group of more
than fifty scholars with the range of languages and knowledge of other disciplines that
characterized the KJB Translators. (Bible – The Story of the King James Version
1611-2011 Oxford, Gordon Campbell, Oxford University Press 2010.)
For such a diverse group, they worked together in harmony during a generally
contentious time. They had disagreements, to be sure, but they labored on, year after
year. There were no "tell all books" published after the fact. Miles Smith remarked in
his preface to the KJB, the Translators "were greater in other men's eyes than in their
own, and sought truth rather than their own praise". They approached the task of
translation with humility, understanding they were standing on the shoulders of giants
like William Tyndale. Believers all, the Translators, according to Smith "craved the
assistance of God's Spirit by prayer" as they proceeded in their work.

Though almost all were well known within the religious and academic community of
the time, their involvement in the translation went largely unnoticed by the public.
Their individual and group effort was not the subject of historical inquiry until many
years after the fact. As a result, little information about the process of translation
survived. The lives of the Translators and sometimes their very identity became
obscured with time. In certain instances, the place of their birth and burial is
unknown, and their family circumstance in doubt.

Published in 1611, the King James Bible spread quickly throughout Europe.
Because of the wealth of resources devoted to the project, it was the most
faithful and scholarly translation to date—not to mention the most accessible.
Whereas before, the Bible had been the sole property of the Church, now more
and more people could read it themselves. Not only that, but the language they
read in the King James Bible was an English unlike anything they had read
before. With its poetic cadences and vivid imagery, the KJV sounded like the
voice of God Himself.

Noted for its "majesty of style", the King James Version has been described as one of
the most important books in English culture and a driving force in the shaping of the
English-speaking world. The King James Bible has influenced language, literature
and culture for more than 400 years.

The first issue of the first edition of the 'Authorised Version' of the English
Bible, printed in London in 1611 by Robert Barker. Commissioned by King James
I, it is also known as the King James Version.
God promised to preserve His Word...

God promised in Psalms 12:7, KJV that He would preserve His Word, "Thou shalt
KEEP them, O LORD, Thou shalt PRESERVE them from this generation FOR
EVER."

And God keeps His promise! I believe, without a doubt, the King James Bible is
the preserved Word of God. And the new versions are satanic counterfeits to cast
doubt, cause confusion and ATTACK THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

And don't let anybody take it from you!

Dr. Frank Logsdon was co-founder of The New American Standard Version. As
people begin confronting Dr. Logsdon on some the NASV's serious omissions and
errors. He re-examined the evidence and this was his verdict:

"I must under God denounce every attachment to the New American Standard
Version. I'm afraid I'm in trouble with the Lord . . . I wrote the format . . . I wrote the
preface . . . I'm in trouble; . . . its wrong, terribly wrong; its frighteningly wrong . .
.The deletions are absolutely frightening . . . there are so many . . . Are we so naive
that we do not suspect Satanic deception in all of this?"

From the early 20th century onward, mainstream Protestant denominations

increasingly turned toward more modern Bible translations.
The Unreliablitity of the Alexandrian Manuscripts: Sinaiticus and Vaticanus
are among the worst manuscripts known:
Bible scholarship of the past 150 years has placed much attention on a very small
number of manuscripts. While there are over 5000 known New Testament
manuscripts, attention has been placed on less than ten. Of these, Codex Sinaiticus
and Codex Vaticanus have been exalted as the “oldest and best” manuscripts. The
oldest claim has been disproved elsewhere.
Sinaiticus has been recently made available to all on the internet by the Codex
Sinaiticus Project, with the mainstream media and general Christians fawning over this
“world’s oldest Bible.” This manuscript, in conjunction with Codex Vaticanus, form
the basis for most modern Bible translations. However, these two manuscripts differ
substantially from the text of the bulk of the manuscripts. Thus, the public needs to
know the truth about these manuscripts.
Contrary to what has been taught in most seminaries, these two manuscripts are
worthless, and hopelessly corrupt. Dean John Burgon, a highly respected Bible scholar
of the mid to late 1800’s, wrote of these manuscripts, “The impurity of the Texts
exhibited by Codices B and Aleph [Vaticanus and Sinaiticus] is not a matter of
opinion but a matter of fact.” These documents are both of dubious origin. It has
been speculated by some scholars that one or both were produced by Eusebius of
Caesarea on orders of Emperor Constantine. If this is true, then these manuscripts are
linked to Eusibus’s teacher Origen of Alexandria, both known for interpreting
Scripture allegorically as opposed to literally. Scholars have designated these
manuscripts as Alexandrian, linking them with Alexandria, Egypt, the region
responsible for early heresies such as Gnosticism and Arianism. Both are dated in the
mid to late fourth century.
Vaticanus is the sole property of the Vatican; it has been a part of the Vatican library
since at least 1475. It’s history previous is unknown. It was written by three scribes,
and has been corrected by at least two more. Vaticanus adds to the Old Testament the
apocryphal books of Baruch, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Judith, Tobit, and the Epistle of
Jeremiah. Dean Burgon describes the poor workmanship of Vaticanus:
Codex B [Vaticanus] comes to us without a history: without
recommendation of any kind, except that of its antiquity. It bears traces
of careless transcription in every page. The mistakes which the original
transcriber made are of perpetual recurrence.
The Sinaiticus was discovered by Constantine Tischendorf in the Greek Orthodox
Monastery of St. Catherine, on the Sinai peninsula. Monasteries are known for
exceptional libraries, and scholars would often visit to conduct research. St.
Catherine’s is no exception. From the monastery’s website:
When Egeria visited the Sinai around the year 380, she wrote
approvingly of the way the monks read to her the scriptural accounts
concerning the various events that had taken place there. Thus we can
speak of manuscripts at Sinai in the fourth century. It is written of Saint
John Climacus that, while living as a hermit, he spent much time in
prayer and in the copying of books. This is evidence of manuscript
production at Sinai in the sixth century. The library at the Holy
Monastery of Sinai is thus the inheritor of texts and of traditions that
date to the earliest years of a monastic presence in the Sinai. In earlier
times, manuscripts were kept in three different places: in the north wall
of the monastery, in the vicinity of the church, and in a central location
where the texts were accessible.
This monastery has a library full of old manuscripts. One would then assume that
Tischendorf found the prized Sinaiticus one a library shelf, hidden among other
manuscripts. Well, this is not exactly the case. He found it in a trash can, waiting to be
burnt! Sound incredible? Tischendorf gives his personal testimony:
It was at the foot of Mount Sinai, in the Convent of St. Catherine, that I
discovered the pearl of all my researches. In visiting the library of the
monastery, in the month of May, 1844, I perceived in the middle of the
great hall a large and wide basket full of old parchments; and the
librarian, who was a man of information, told me that two heaps of
papers like these, mouldered by time, had been already committed to the
flames. What was my surprise to find amid this heap of papers a
considerable number of sheets of a copy of the Old Testament in Greek,
which seemed to me to be one of the most ancient that I had ever seen.
Why would the monks of St. Catherine’s thrown out such a valuable manuscript?
Perhaps because of it’s low quality transcription and it’s “heavily corrected
text.” Concerning it’s sloppy penmanship, Burgon writes, “On many occasions, 10,
20, 30, 40 words are dropped through very carelessness.” His colleague, Frederick H.
Scrivener, goes into detail:
 Letters and words, even whole sentences, are frequently written twice
over, or begun and immediately canceled: while that gross blunder
technically known as Homoeoteleuton…whereby a clause is omitted
because it happens to end in the same words as the clause preceding,
occurs no less than 115 times in the New Testament…Tregelles has
freely pronounced that “the state of the text, as proceeding from the first
scribe, may be regarded as very rough.”
Sinaiticus has also been corrected by “…at least ten revisers between the IVth and
XIIth centuries…” The Codex Sinaiticus Project readily admits:
No other early manuscript of the Christian Bible has been so extensively
corrected. A glance at the transcription will show just how common
these corrections are. They are especially frequent in the Septuagint
portion. They range in date from those made by the original scribes in
the fourth century to ones made in the twelfth century. They range from
the alteration of a single letter to the insertion of whole sentences.
The figure below gives an example of Sinaiticus’ many corrections.

As you can see, it looks like a much-corrected rough draft. Which is the Word of
God, the original text, one of the many corrections, or none of the above?
Sinaiticus also includes spurious, uninspired, apocryphal books, including 2
Esdras,Tobit, Judith, 1 & 4 Maccabees, Wisdom and Sirach in the Old Testament. In
the New Testament, the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas are added.
New lay interest in this manuscript may be intended to create demand for an English
translation of it. An 1861 translation of Sinaiticus’s New Testament has been placed
online, including the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas. These two
false writings (Epistle of Barnabas and Shepherd of Hermas) promote New Age and
Satanism. Is a resurgence in public interest in Sinaiticus and Vaticanus intended to
bring acceptance of heretical works like these into Christian circles?
As for the text of these two manuscripts, it is notably an inferior text (when one is
able to determine the true text in the light of all the corrections). Scholar Dean
Burgon writes,
As for the origin of these two curiosities, it can perforce only be divined
from their contents. That they exhibit fabricated Texts in demonstrable.
No amount of honest copying,-persevered in for any number of
centuries, -could by possibility have resulted in two such documents.
Separated from one another in actual date by 50, perhaps by 100 years,
they must needs have branched off from a common corrupt ancestor,
and straightway become exposed continuously to fresh depraving
influences. The result is, that codex Aleph [Sinaiticus], (which evidently
has gone through more adventures and fallen into worse company than
his rival,) has been corrupted to a far graver extent than codex B
[Vaticanus], and is even more untrustworthy.
Why would one of the top Bible scholars of his day make such remarks of
manuscripts considered the “oldest and best” by others? Burgon had personally
examined these two manuscripts, and noted that their text differed greatly form that
of 95% of all manuscripts. When examining the Gospels as found in Vaticanus,
Burgon found 7578 deviations from the majority, with 2370 of them being serious. In
the Gospels of Sinaiticus, he found 8972 deviations, with 3392 serious ones. He also
checked these manuscripts for particular readings, or readings that are found ONLY
in that manuscript. In the Gospels alone, Vaticanus has 197 particular readings, while
Sinaiticus has 443. A particular reading signifies one that is most definitely false.
Manuscripts repeatedly proven to have incorrect readings loose respectability. Thus,
manuscripts boasting significant numbers of particular readings cannot be relied
upon.

These two manuscript witnesses constantly disagree with the majority of the
manuscript evidence, showing them to be suspect witnesses. The Ten
Commandments prohibit false testimony (Exodus 20:16). The Bible warns of false
witnesses: “And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus
to put Him to death; and found none. For many bare false witness against Him,
but their witness agreed not together.” (Mark 14:55-56). The telling sign of false
witnesses is a disagreement in their testimony. It will be seen that Sinaiticus and
Vaticanus do not pass the false witness test. While disagreeing with the majority text,
they also heavily disagree among each other. Burgon observed: “…they render
inconsistent testimony in every verse…” and “…it is easier to find two consecutive
verses in which the two MSS. differ the one from the other, than two consecutive
verses in which they entirely agree…”. Herman Hoskier did a full collation of these
two manuscripts in the Gospels, and counted the following disagreements:
Therefore, Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are worthless manuscripts. They display horrible
penmanship, and have been subject to many correctors. They disagree with the vast
majority of manuscript evidence, and even among each other. They are false witnesses
of the Word of God. The text found therein is not the preserved Word of God,
because it hasn’t been preserved. If it was the true Word of God, it would have been
readily available to all generations. Burgon explains,
I am utterly unable to believe, in short, that God’s promise [of
preservation] has so entirely failed, that at the end of 1800 years much of
the text of the Gospel had in point of fact to be picked by a German
critic out of a waste-paper basket in the convent of St. Catherine; and
that the entire text had to be remodelled after the pattern set by a couple
of copies which had remained in neglect during fifteen centuries, and
had probably owed their survival to that neglect; whilst hundreds of
others had been thumbed to pieces, and had bequeathed their witness to
copies made from them.
These ancient MSS owe their preservation not to the providence of God, but to the
neglect of man.
In these last days, Satan is doing everything in his power to prepare men for the great
deception of the Antichrist. As Sinaiticus and Vaticanus have been exalted in the
public’s eye, many are turning away from the KJV, the Pure Word of God and
embracing the corrupt modern bibles. These manuscripts may be the driving force to
get “Protestants” to accept the Apocrypha as well as the Epistle of Barnabas and the
Shepherd of Hermas, books so heretical that even the Roman Catholic Church does
not accept them as Scripture. We need to be alert, and not fall for these manuscript
idols. We also need to be aware that most Bible versions, other than the KJV, rely
heavily on these manuscripts. The NKJV, while using the correct text, includes
“alternate readings” from Sinaiticus and Vaticanus in the margin. (Such as “The oldest
MSS. say…”) We need to reject these for the tried and true King James Version.
 It all comes down to which Bible you choose to read
and believe?

The starting point:

The Words of the LORD are pure words: as silver

tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou
shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve
them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:6-7, KJV).
Your decision:

You must decide whether or not you believe God has kept this promise.
Did He preserve His Word throughout the generations? Or did He not?
That decision will lead you to one of two Bible texts- The True Word of God
preserved in the 1611 King James Version that points to the True Jesus-Son of God
or to the corrupted word in all the modern Bible versions such as NIV, NKJV, etc
which point to the false jesus-the son of perdition-Antichrist. The Bible that points to
Jesus Christ as the only Begotten Son of God and says that He came in the flesh is the
pure Bible which is the KJV but every bible that denies that Jesus as God came in the
flesh and denies Him as the only Begotten Son of God is a corrupted Bible "Who is a
liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the
Father and the Son." (1 John 2:22, KJV)."Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the
world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof
ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." 1 John
4:1-3, KJV. This is how you recognize which Bible is pure and which is corrupt.
God places a judgment on any one who corrupts the pure Word of God and the same
fate awaits those who read the corrupt bibles. "For I testify unto every man that
heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any
man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take
away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things
which are written in this Book." Revelation 22:18-19, KJV.

The written Word of God is our final Authority in all matters of which It speaks, for
It is God's final revelation to man. The Bible is God's trustworthy, Authoritative
Book, and no more is to be added thereto. All evidence points to the KJV as the
uncorrupted and infallible Bible God would have His people use in these last days
before the Second Coming of Christ. Praise God, He has given to us His Word, and
we have before us in the English language the Authorized King James Bible, a literal,
accurate translation of the very words God breathed in His Revelation to man. With
the writing of the Book of Revelation, the Bible was complete and closed with no
room for further revelations. With the writing of the Book of Revelation, the last
book of the Bible, the Canon of the Scriptures was sealed, with no more special books
or revelations from God. With the passing of the original disciples of the Lord Jesus
"that which is perfect"-the Written Word of the Living God-was come.

The modern bibles are false prophets and false teachers, wolves in sheep’s clothing
that have been created to deceive people. Beware of these false bibles which produce
imperfect faith, corrupt your very soul and drag you to the bowels of Hell.

So which Bible are you reading- The True Preserved Word of God- KJV or one of
the corrupted modern versions? In these end times, which Bible you choose to read is
a matter of life and death. It determines if we become deceived and fall away from
faith in Jesus Christ or knowing the Truth & standing firm in our faith in Jesus Christ.
The fate of your eternal destiny depends on which Bible you read. The fate of your
soul depends on it. Choose wisely. Don't settle for anything less than God's Words.
Why Were the Books of the Old Testament Apocrypha Rejected as Holy
Scripture by the Protestants?

Apocrypha Books: Apocrypha meaning 'hidden' denotes the collection of apocryphal

ancient books found in some editions of Christian Bibles in a separate section
between the Old and New Testaments.

These books of Apocrypha, which were labeled as non-canon by Saint Jerome (4th
century monk and scholar who made the original translation from the original
languages in Latin that is still used by the Catholic church) were not part of the Jewish
Canon at the time of Christ's Life. The Jewish Canon at that time included all of the
39 books of the Old Testament but the books now called Apocryphal had been set
aside centuries prior. In fact, at the time of Jerome’s translation, they could only be
found in the Septuagint, a Greek Translation of the Jewish Canon finished around the
4th century BC. Since Jerome saw that the Jews didn't use them, and for other reasons
that go back to the Synod of Hypo and beyond, Jerome felt they didn't belong and
held no value (the meaning of Apocryphal is “these don't belong”). He only kept
them at the behest of his friend St Augustin.
The KJV translators translated the apocrypha along with the Old and New
Testaments. The apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the
original 1611 King James Bible. These apocryphal books were positioned between the
Old and New Testament (it also contained maps and geneologies). The apocrypha
was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D.

There are doctrines and practices contained in the Apocrypha that are contrary to
what the Scripture teaches. The books of the Apocrypha were rejected by most
church leaders.
1. The Apocrypha Is Never Cited In The New Testament As Scripture:
Though the New Testament cites directly, or alludes to, almost every book of
the Old Testament as Scripture, it never cites the Apocrypha as being God's
Word. The Apocrypha was not the Bible of Jesus or His apostles. While Jesus
and Hs apostles often quoted from the Septuagint, they never quoted from the
Apocrypha. Furthermore no book of the Apocrypha is mentioned by name in
the New Testament. The fact that the Apocrypha is found in the Septuagint
translation does not prove anything. It merely testifies that the Alexandrian
Jews translated other religious material into Greek apart from the Old
 Testament Scripture. A Greek translation is not the same thing as a book being
part of the Hebrew canon.

2. Furthermore no book of the Apocrypha is mentioned by name in the

New Testament: The Jews have never considered these works to be divinely
inspired. On the contrary, they denied their authority. At the time of Christ we
have the testimony of the Jewish writer Flavius Josephus that they were only
twenty-two books divinely inspired by God. These books are the same as our
thirty-nine in the Old Testament. The books of the Apocrypha were not
among these. The same testimony is found in Second Esdras - the Ezra legend.
This work was written in A.D. 100. Therefore these books were never part of
the Hebrew canon of Scripture.

3. The Books Of The Apocrypha Were Written During The Silent

Years: The books of the Apocrypha were written during the four hundred
silent years between the Book of Malachi and the announcement of the birth of
John the Baptist. Jewish and New Testament sources both agree that no
divinely inspired prophetic utterance occurred during this time.

4. The Books Have A Different Order And Content:

In the three most important Greek manuscripts the order and the contents of
the books are different.
In Vaticanus we find: Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Judith, Tobit, Baruch, and the
Letter to Jeremiah.
In Sinaiaticus the list includes: Tobit, Judith, First Maccabees, Fourth
Maccabees, Wisdom, and Ecclesiasticus.
In Alexandrinus the order is: Tobit, Judith, First Maccabees, Second
Maccabees, Third Maccabees, Fourth Maccabees, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, and
the Psalms of Solomon.
Therefore the early Greek manuscripts give no consistent testimony.

5. There Are Demonstrable Historical Errors In The Apocrypha: For

example, Tobit was supposedly alive when Jeroboam staged his revolt in 931
B.C. The text says that Tobit was still alive when the Assyrians captured the
northern kingdom of Israel in 721 B.C. This means that he lived over two
hundred years! However, the Book of Tobit says he lived only 112 years. This
is an obvious contradiction. Those who believe in an inerrant Scripture cannot
accept the Apocrypha as God's Word. Another example can be found in the
opening verse of the Book of Judith. It was the twelfth year of the reign of
Nebuchadnezzar, who ruled over the Assyrians in the great city of Nineveh. In
those days Arphaxad ruled over the Medes in Ecbatana (Judith 1:1). There are
two historical errors in this verse. Nebuchadnezzar was the ruler of the
Babylonians, not the Assyrians, and he ruled from Babylon, not Nineveh.

6. It Is Not Possible To Defend The Historical Accuracy Of The

Apocrypha: While it is possible for Bible scholars, using the most up-to-date
archaeological knowledge, to defend the historical accuracy of the books of the
Bible, it is not possible to argue for the historical accuracy of the books of the
Apocrypha. Many of them have demonstrable errors that cannot be reconciled.

7. There Is Sub-Biblical Content In The Books Of The Apocrypha: The

content of the books of the Apocrypha is below that of canonical Scripture.
Several of the books including Judith, Tobit, Susanna, and Bel and the Dragon
 read like legends. When one reads these books alongside canonical Scripture
the differences become obvious.

8. There Is No Objective Evidence Of Divine Authority In The

Apocrypha: The books of the Apocrypha do not contain anything like
predictive prophecy, or the firsthand testimony of miracles, that would give
evidence of their divine authority. If God divinely inspired these books, then
we should expect to see some internal evidence confirming it. But there is
none.

9. None Of The Books Of The Apocrypha Claim Divine Authority: From

the documents themselves we find no claim of authority. This is in contrast to
the books of the Old Testament that claim to record the words that God spoke
and the deeds that He performed among the people. Therefore it is not logical
to attribute God's authority to the books of the Apocrypha when they
themselves make no claim to divine authority.

The books of the Apocrypha should not be considered as Holy Scripture because they
do not give any evidence as being authoritative. Protestants deny the canonical status
of these books on the basis of both internal and external evidence. This evidence
includes the following.

First, the Apocrypha contains doctrines and practices that contradict what has been
previously revealed in Scripture. Add to this the Apocrypha is never cited in the New
Testament as Holy Scripture. This is in contrast to the canonical books - almost all of
them are cited.

The Jews rejected the Apocrypha as being part of God's Word. For one reason, these
books were written after God had ceased giving divine revelation. In these years God
was not giving any authoritative word to His people.

The fact that the Apocrypha is found in the manuscripts of the Septuagint proves
nothing - we do not know the content of the Septuagint in pre-Christian times.
Furthermore there is no evidence of a wider Alexandrian canon of Scripture. The
Jews, wherever they lived, used the same Hebrew canon that did not include the
Apocrypha.

The Apocrypha was not on any early list of Christian books that were considered
Scripture. While a few church fathers quoted them as authoritative, most did not. In
addition, none of those fathers who cited the Apocrypha as authoritative Scripture
knew any Hebrew.

There is also the problem with the exact content of the Apocrypha. The books
contained in the Apocrypha are not well defined - not everyone can agree on which
books are authoritative.

Augustine, while a great thinker, did not read Hebrew and knew very little Greek.
Furthermore he accepted the fanciful account of the origin of the Septuagint. Jerome,
a real Hebrew scholar rejected the books outright.

Many Roman Catholic scholars, to the time of the Protestant Reformation, rejected
the Apocrypha as Scripture. While some Protestants make some use of the Apocrypha
it has always been rejected as Scripture.
Another major problem for the Apocrypha is demonstrable historical errors in it. This
is not consistent with God's Word being error-free. Furthermore there is no evidence
in these books of divine authority - fulfilled prophecy is lacking. Add to this there is
no claim within the books of God's authority.

Finally we have the testimony of Jesus. He said the Scriptures were true and could not
be broken. However the Apocrypha was not Scripture to Him. Since neither the Jews,
Jesus, or His apostles considered these writings as part of the Old Testament neither
should we.

The present thirty-nine books of the Old Testament are the complete Scripture that
God has given us. There are no other divinely authoritative books of Scripture that
belong to the Old Testament.
