VISIT TO A PHYSIOTHERAPY CENTER FOR PAIN IN LOWER BACK AND RIGHT KNEE

The service blueprint is made for a patient’s visit to a physiotherapy center for pain in lower
back and right knee. Assumption is made that the appointment has already been taken on
phone from the physiotherapist. The patient arrives in his car driven by his driver. The patient is
helped by the nurse when he gets down from his car and is taken inside the premises of the
center while his driver waits for him in the car. Amenities provided in waiting room are
Television, Fish Aquarium, Magazines, Drinking water.

The patient has severe pain in right knee and the lower back. He arrives at the physio center,
takes the number from the front desk compounder and waits for his turn. The compounder fills
his details in the portal. The attendant/ nurse does the arrangements for the session.

Till his turn comes, he rests and the attendants make sure that the patient is comfortable.

When his name is announced, he walks up to the physiotherapist and tells the details about his
accident and the problem that after the accident, he is unable to move his right knee and has
severe pain in the lower back. He also faces problem while walking.

The physiotherapist checks him thoroughly, examines the movement, prescribed the medicines
to the patient and also tells him that his treatment would continue for a period of 4 months and
he will have to arrive at the center for sessions and the movement exercise is advised.
