Water - one gallon of water per person per day for at least
three days for drinking and sanitation
Pro Tip:  Keep empty gallon jugs throughout the hurricane season. You can fill
them up with water at home to avoid the masses grabbing last minute
supplies at the grocery store.

Gasoline - always keep your tank at least HALF FULL


Important family documents - such as copies of insurance policies,
passport, drivers license and birth certificate
Flashlights & extra batteries

Cash
Local maps

Food - at least a three-day supply of non-perishable food


Manual can opener for food
Battery-powered radio and extra batteries
Hard drive with computer data
Laptop, camera, electronics

Moist towelettes and garbage bags


List of emergency contacts with phone #s and addresses
Cell phone with chargers, charged portable chargers and car
charger in case of evacuation
Prescription medication and glasses
First aid kit
Household chlorine bleach and medicine dropper – when diluted, nine
parts water to one-part bleach. Bleach can be used as a disinfectant
Pro Tip:  In the case of emergency, bleach can also treat water with 16
drops of regular household liquid bleach per gallon of water. Do not use
scented, color safe, or bleaches with added cleaners.

Create a walkthrough video to document all the belongings in your


home. Start at one end of the house and move slowly through each
room while describing items in good detail. Then send the video to a
relative for extra backup
