The number of cars in British roads has dramatically increased over approximately 1 century from the

first car appearance in 1888 to 29 million cars in 2000. Due to this uncontrolled change, I strongly agree
that government should give an encouragement about the alternative vehicle and introduce the global
law in order to manage the ownership and usage of car. To support my idea, I will provide some
examples and evidences.

First, the uncontrolled ownership and usage of car can cause a lot of environmental problems that lead
to health problems. The big amount of warm gas, that produced by cars as their burning result, can
caused some environmental problems, for instance, the change of temperature that lead to the rise of
sea level. The gas also consists of chemical pollution such as carbon monoxide which very dangerous for
human health. Carbon monoxide can contribute to some breath problems, such as, cough, pneumonia,
until tuberculosis disease.

Moreover, the big number of cars can lead to the bad traffic, especially in the big city like London. Traffic
jam that happened in nowadays metropolitan city can be a big psychological problem for some people.
People who trapped in a long tiring traffic, tent to have a bad mood in a day long. Also because of this
problem, some people can be stressed and depressed, which mean the uncontrolled rise of car can lead
to serious mental problems.

Fortunately, there are some solution to deal with this problem, for instance, government should provide
an environmentally friendly public transport such us hybrid bus which is cheap and very effective to
reduce bad traffic. Second, government also should restrict the ownership and usage of new car with an
international law. Government should give such us an examination to some people who willing to
purchase a new car, such us ask to mention the usage of the new car and their neediness level of car.

To sum up, I strongly agree that government should encourage people of the alternative transport and
introduce them an international law in order to manage the ownership and usage of car. Hopefully,
these actions could reduce some problems that caused by the huge number of cars.
