POJECT PROPOSAL

ABSTRACT

We are pursuing engineering (B.Tech, civil engg., final year) in which

partial fulfilment we have to submit and work on four mini projects and one
major project. It will provide us actually an environment to learn a lot of
things which are governing in the projects.
According to our final year syllabus, we have decided to work on the
following projects:
Mini projects –
1. Work related to preparation of bill of quantity & tender document.
2. Work related to cost estimation of (including market survey of rates
by students) building/earth work for a highway.
3. Work related to preparation of layout plan of a building and its
marking on ground.
4. Design & analysis of a G+5 residential building using structural design
and analysis software like STAAD Pro/STRUDS/SAP/ETAB/STRAP.
Major project –
Designing and detailing of G+2 residential building (Boys Hostel-1). In this
project we will design Boys Hostel-1 in STAAD Pro and detailing of project
will also be done. The final designing and detailing papers will be submitted
to respective mentor.
