AIGA and Key Members
AIGA was formed in Dec 2003 as an non profit association to represent the
majority of Industrial Gas companies in the countries in Asia. Its’ broad
purpose is to promote better safety, health, environmental awareness and
security in production, distribution and use of these products.

To promote the main objectives:
 General safety, health, environmental awareness and security –
promote & achieve continuous improvement in the gas industry,
 The creation of national associations & provide guidance &
support,
 Harmonization of standards in Asia in line with global
harmonization for the gas industry.
 Provide guidance to country Regulatory authorities/Standards
bodies on related matters

Our approach to the Mission
 Publication of safety standards and guidelines for use by the industry
and other stake holders in Asia

 Promote safety, health and environmental awareness through


seminars, workshops, News Letter, Safety Alerts & Posters etc

 Work with Regional & National Associations to help establish global


best practices and harmonized standards

 Cooperate with Regulatory Authorities and Standards Bodies through

 Build a database of statistics on accidents and incidents for Asia
