MOI: insidious with a progeressive onset of symptom

S/Sx: neck pain, pain with RoM

Tenderness, swelling in distal visible RA

MX: contra- manipulation/traction/mobilization

TORTICOLLIS

Rational dysfunction of the upper neck musculator

women

MOI: (traumatic, repetitive, or insidious onset)

Congenital: may be due to abnormal fetal positioning in utero.

Acquired: direct trauma to SCM or a protective response by the muscle

PE: -- head positioned in ipsilateral lateral cervical flexion and contralateral head rotation

--- decreased ROM into contralateral cervical lateral flexion or ipsilateral cervical rotation

Mx: stretching
