One of the major responsibilities of Engg-LWR (electrical) group is indigenisation of BoP areas for

KKNPP 3&4. I have been involved in the preparation/review of Concept notes, DBRs, SLDs, layout
diagrams for the EHV systems of KKNPP 3&4 as a part of Electrical-BoP works.

During the above mentioned working, I have been able to get conversant with the relevant
standards (IS, IEEE, IEC, etc), industry practices, latest trends and developments for
equipment/systems like EHV GIS, Circuit breakers, Instrument transformer for the
design/qualification.

The work involved assimilating requirements from various agencies like grid authorities, RF
designers, Regulators, feedbacks from KK 1&2 which is quite challenging and enriching.

The challenges were/are being addressed through provisions in the technical specifications/design
arrived at through study of open literature, discussions with experts to overcome the issues brought
out through experience/feedback from KKNPP 1&2.

The working environment has been very positive providing ample opportunities for enhancement of
knowledge and completion of the tasks for actual implementation.
