ABSTRACT

One of basic human activities is communication. In this context

television has emerged as the most powerful media over the last decade. Now, It has

invaded almost every household with news and views with the help of satellite cable

projecting them through a global filter. At the local level regional channels with the

regional language generally influence public and also help to focus on their opinion.

Doordarshan is one of the India's largest broadcasting organization and has a great

part of electronics and communication involved from transmission to the reception

of a signal where lies in my field of interest. It has different parts like studio room,

Recording room, editing room, vision mixer room and master switching room etc.

We were also taken to the transmitter by the supporting and kind staff authorities.

The staff authorities made us understand the transmission process by showing the

different equipment, cables, TV sets,etc. It is a wonderful experience to be a part of

Doordarshan where we worked under brilliant minds.
