Malala Yousafzai is a woman who fought for an allowance
for girls to receive an education. She got shot by a gunman in 2012. She survived the shot but was unconscious for 10 days. When she woke up she went on to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
Malala was born in Pakistan on the 12th of July 1997. She
is 21 years old now and lives in Taliban Pakistan. Her father was called Ziauddin Yousafzai and her mother’s name was Toor Pekai Yousafzai. Her father worked as a teacher. Malala was shot at the age of 15 by a gunman while she was getting on a bus.
Malala fought for an allowance for girls to receive an
education. She believed that everyone had to be treated equally.
I chose Malala because I thought she was really brave to
stand up in that situation and I wish to be as brave as her. She stood out over everyone else to me because she wanted to bring happiness into people’s lives and not for only a few people to be treated with respect.
She did not live an easy life but she got on with it and that’s the main reason why I choose her.
