Repectot Mando Makeolay , ae ee 1, As per the existing Policy, Pension vide O.M.No.38/37/08-P&PW(A) dated 02 Sep 2008 for civilian employees and Govt of India Min of Defence letter No 17(4)/2008(1)/D(Pen/Policy) dated 11 Nov 2008 of All Central Govt Employees including Defence Personnel are increased at old age as under - Age of Pensioner/Family pensioner Additional quantum of Pension From 80 years to less than 85 years 20% of revised basic pension/family pension, From 85 years to less than 90 years 30% of revised basic pension/family pension, From $0 years to less than 95 years 40% of revised basic pension/family pension, From 95 years to less than 100 years 50% of revised basic pension/family pension 100 years or more 100% or revised basic pension/family pension “Telephone +281 13669, 46068120, 26116435, Telelax : 46068121 E-mail: iesthq@gmail.com, Website: www indianexservicesleague in 3. ___ All Central Govt Employees retire at 60 years of Age; consequently their pensions are increased after 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of retirement, by 20%, 25%, 30%, 50% and 100% respectively 4. As per the existing policy, pension of Defence Veterans are also increased at the ages 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100 years ie :- Rank No of Years After Retirement (a) Sepoy to Hav 42, 47, 2, 7 and 62 years after retirement (b) JCOs (Nb Sub to Sub Major) 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 years after retirement (©) Officers upto the rank of Col -26,31,36,41 and 46 years after retirement () Brig 24, 29, 34, 39 and 44 years after retirement (e) Maj Gen 22, 27, 32, 36 and 42 years after retirement 6. _In order to do justice to soldiers, there is, therefore, a case to review the existing policy to also increase of Defence Pensioners after 20. 25, 30, and 40 years of retirement at par with the other civilian Employees. 7. __ The reasons for the recommended increase after 20,25, 30 and 40 years of retirement are as follows:~ (2) _ Early retirement. The Armed Forces personnel retire early, to maintain the younger profile of the Armed Forces when their social responsibilities to include education of children, their settlement, marriage, looking after aged parents and construction of a house/purchase of a flat are maximum (0) NO Guarenteed Second Career There is NO guaranteed second career for the Ex-Servicemen who retire at such an early age. employees was studied by the Institute of Applies Research government in Manpower ‘Analysis (IARM) at the behest of the fifth CPC.
